Have tested positive this morning so going to have to miss tonight and Leeds but this is handy to know, thanks mate.

Just means I will have to spend a couple of hours not looking at my phone!

If Soucek is out then I'd like to see Moyes drop Lanzini deeper and bring in Fornals.

Means Rice popping the shackles on and playing as a bit more of a traditional defensive midfielder but he'd have to be a bit more cautious with Noble alongside him anyway and I reckon Lanzini/Fornals gives us a bit more going forwards.

He also posted this.
I am not saying the news is right or wrong, but to be fair Soucek simply posting the fact it’s match day doesn’t necessarily mean he is playing tonight. He could just simply be stating the fact it’s a match day.

Time for us to make a statement. We have to believe in ourselves. This is a very talented group of players. We are in and around the top four despite us yet to play ANY of the current bottom seven at home this season.
He's not a West Ham fan, that's why he's looking that way. Anything to undermine us and our average manager who got lucky with COVID.

I might just be excited, I tend to get like that on match day :D but this for me is a big big game tonight, cannot afford to slip up, 3 points a must. On paper we have far too much for them, but sadly football doesn't work that way.

Hopefully we score early, from the highlights I have seen of Norwich recently their heads drop really quickly when they go 1 nil down, hopefully same happens tonight.

I'm hoping for a comfortable 2/3 nil where we control the game to save some running/legs for the Leeds game.

Fornals to score.

We do need to go out tonight and make a statement and we should be able to do that against a weak Norwich side BUT we're West Ham and I expect a very close game.

I'd like to see something like that. I don't think Moyes will go for it, he's far too cautious, but something along the lines of:

------------------------ Fabiankski ----------------------

Fredericks ------ Dawson ----- Diop ------ Johnson

--------------------------- Rice --------------------------

-------------- Lanzini ------------ Fornals -------------

Bowen ------------------------------------------ Vlasic

------------------------- Antonio -----------------------

Brighton have one more.

But yeah...all breathing down our necks.
Wolves 6 points behind with a game in hand.
Brighton 7 points behind with a game in hand.
Leicester 9 points behind with 2 games in hand.

I don't think there is any arguing that several mid table teams are looking decent enough at the moment and are capable of going on a good run and pushing the top 7. Wolves, Brighton, Leicester, Palace, Southampton and even Villa fall into this category.

They key is winning games like this and making the gap impossible to close. Another run of form like we had in December will likely see us in upper mid table rather than top 4/5.

Games in hand mean very little in most cases.
Wolves travel to Arsenal in their one, Brighton host Chelsea in theirs and Leicester have to play Spurs in one of theirs too. They can't all get points.

Your initial point is right though. These are two big games for us and a chance to show intent.

I'd love to see something like this tonight.... I know our problem has been shipping goals but we do play 4 out and out attackers which is more than most. Against Norwich I'd love to see us up it to 5. it's not like Norwich score many and the way we play when we're on form you just know we will score goals...

You and me both brother - hope you are feeling OK.

Gutted to miss out on tonight and Leeds. At least Leeds is on Sky. Looks like radio commentary or a bait stream might be my only hopes tonight.
