This is such nonsense. Tottenham wasn't a league game, Chelsea we changed to 5 at the back, and Burnley was after the game with Zagreb. Leeds was also a cup game, not a league game. And we all know Moyes like to rotate.
Boris Johnson could do with you as his spin doctor today
Team against zagreb
A Areola
H Ashby
Baptise
A Alese
E Longelo
A Kral
M Noble (c)
A Yarmolenko
P Fornals
N Vlasic
S Perkins
In your opinion, how many are first team players?
Not digging you out, but facts are facts. He is getting dropped more and more frequently, and you can only take that Moyes doesn't see him as an integral first teamer now.

He shared the game with Benrahma. Vlasic also started. You can't have it every which way. Has he been dropped for Vlasic, who also started against Zagreb, or Benrahma, who shared the game against Zagreb a half each?
He dropped out of the line up because of COVID. He started against Southampton, missed two games with COVID, then came off the bench in the cup having just returned.
There's your facts.

Imo, he's been dropped because he's playing poorly and Moyes is losing confidence in him.
Let's see if he starts tonight.

Getting dropped because you are on an indifferent run of form does not automatically mean the manager has "lost confidence".

I think Moyes overestimates Rice's attacking ability.
I think a fair few people do. He's good at carrying the ball forwards at pace, but direct assists and goals do not appear to be a natural part of his game.

He'll build them into his game as he has other aspects of his current game.

Masuaku, the Schrodinger's cat of football. He's somehow both underrated and overrated at the same time!

Overrated - Hayden Fox. The amount of effort Harry put into signing this fella was inmense. Anyone think he was his agent. When he finally turned up he was gash.
Underated - Vladimir Labant and Sandy Diamante.

Overrated - Diafra Sakho, after his initial little burst of goals he was pretty rubbish if we're honest. And his career after leaving us shows as much.
Underrated - Gary O'Neil, Joey O'Brien, Matty Taylor, Sam's utility men who helped establish us in the league.

think there's a lot of completely opposite responses here because it's not clear who's rating we're taking - is this by west ham fans or by the general football public?
Because I'd say someone like Bowen is underrated by the general football public, but overrated by West Ham fans. Also people saying Masuaku for overrated - rated by who? Pretty sure he's the player most west ham fans could agree was the weakest, so in that sense he's probably underrated if anything - doesn't mean he's actually good, just that the negative perception is so large it's disproportionate to his talent. Whereas every commentator goes on about how dangerous Antonio is and how we completely rely on him, when I think most fans would agree whilst effective he's definitely a limited player - so overrated by the public, underrated by the fans.
Maybe I'm getting too caught up in the semantics, just this thread is annoying me because it makes no sense!

I suppose you could say that applies to me, in that he's under rated by me because I think he's utterly **** and yet somehow gets a game for an established Premier League team, and he's over rated by me because sometimes my memory is hazy enough for me to believe he isn't our worst ever left back.

I’m going to get some flak for this, but I think Fornals overrated.
I like his character, he’s got a great engine, some good stats and never shirks. On the other hand, that’s what you expect for the money and he’s benefited from being the apparently hardest working of Pelle’s perceived lightweights.
He averages 5 a season which is reasonable but not enough to justify his rep. I have thought Lanzini the better player and said before that I’m unsure about them in the same side. Both number tens imho.
It’s a nice problem if someone like Fornals is overrated mind as I’m more than happy with him in the squad or as a starter.
For me, albeit perhaps only marginally (

), he has the best two-footed control in the club (runners up Lanzini and Bowen)

Jenkinson and Mullins both great shouts
Carl Jenkinson is my most hated ever player and an absolute abysmal player
Mullins was excellent
