Relive every moment of every first team game since the beginning of the 2005/06 season. Our archive of matchday threads originally posted in the General Discussion Forum.
I just cannot imagine Leeds being as meek and generally poor again, as they were last weekend and that's even when one takes into account the further injury concerns that they have.
Our team largely picks itself, I would have thought.
Got a feeling that Antonio will get on the scoresheet.
Agree. If Bielsa had treated the cup game seriously be would have started with Raphinia and Forshaw who were both on the bench. Dont think he has respected the cup competitions since he has been there. Survival is the focus for them, yes they have a cushion but some below them have games in hand, so it's not as comfortable as it looks.
My main concern is if we look a bit leggy at times after the midweek game and they cause problems with their high tempo game.
subs areola fredericks johnson zouma masuaka kral lanzini okoflex yarmolenko
2-0 hammers antonio bowen
hopefully zouma gets on for last 10 mins
oko on for ant last 10 mins
big game that we need to win to keep top 4 alive !
hopefully other matches go our way and we could be extending our lead over the chasing pack albeit with games in hand !

I think they will be like a whole different prospect to the cup game. I have a feeling we may be in for a nasty surprise.
Leeds are the best team we can play in the Premier League. They always attack, leaving space to counter. Suits us perfectly. I am still nervous mind !
Need to get the atmosphere going again...last 2 games its been awful. Team are doing their bit and they are running out of gas, we need to step up. We're fourth in the league for christ sake. (rant over)
I was supremely confident of a win before I clicked on this thread. Now there are fragments of doubt. Against Norwich it was like a training exercise. We need to be way more ruthless.

Yeah, I can't see how any of our players could be that knackered after the Norwich game. It was clear watching Wednesday night that the players weren't playing at full throttle.
sorry but i think we're being a bit naive to think we can play the same team we had out against norwich against leeds.
We will need Soucek back. If not then another tackling midfielder, not a lanzini or fornals.
One of those , yes, not both of them and vlasic too.
And we severely lacked height v norwich, despite bowen's first goal.

Fornals is actually a fairly prolific tackler.
Especially in the opposition third, I think he could easily adapt his game to tackle more in the middle third.
