Looks like Moyes has finally got a plumber in to sort out all the leaks at the club

That was certainly an unexpected surprise seeing him even in the match day squad. Let alone starting and playing the full 90!

The club is doing a lot better at keeping things quiet now. None of the ITKs even mentioned Cresswell was that far ahead.

Good to have him back! (Pardon the pun!)

How on earth was he able to hit the ground running so hard after a long injury layoff? He was sensational last night, 103 touches (13 more than anyone else) and was still mobile after the full 90. Very, very impressive return to action.

Makes such a difference to the way we play. Not knocking Johnson but having a left-footed player with end product on the left is so important.

Does the Cresswell Out mob even exist any more?

Yep but we have split our forces and areccurrently camped outside Diop and Masuaku's houses.

I have to admit that 12 months ago I was concerned Cresswell was weak defensively.
I still think he needs a bit of additional protection from LM but his compsure on the ball more than compensates

Yes! Although I just want him out of the starting 11 now rather than the whole club

An upgrade on him in the summer, whoever that might be. If we can have Cresswell deputising instead of Masuaku next year that would be great.

I love Cresswell, and he's so important for us in attack and transition.

I do think we would be better if we could find a left sided Coufal equivalent. It's worth noting that he only actually managed 2 non-set piece assists last season compared to Coufal's 7, and only has one assist this season in 14 games, Coufal has 3 in 18.

As good as he's been I feel he is still the weak link in the defence due to his lack of pace and strength.

Hard-pressed to upgrade the defence, but it is the weakest part of our side.

cresswell is slowing and weak sometimes but his pluses outweigh these at the moment. we do need a left back though. looks like its not longello at the moment !

Same number of goals and assists this season :D

I'm being facetious, but Masuaku is given far too bad a rap.

One of those who got better every game he didn't play.

(And I'm a big fan, FWIW.)

And so is Davis Moyes. I haven't got the numbers to back this up, but the last time I looked, Cresswell was the player most selected to start by Moyes over both stints at West Ham United.

Thought Cresswell had a great game this evening.
It's the most positive I can recall him playing, always wanting to get on the front foot with the ball at his feet.

Bravo Sir :scarfer:

Tbh I thought he was awful. His crossing, passing, decision making in the final 3rd were well off. His corners were crap (what was that shot?)

We really need to replace him in the summer but keep him as back up
