Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
Latest link from France is Ludovic Ajorque - a 6'6" striker.
I quite liked that bloke who played for Genk.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
No surprise there really! He's not had to do much for a while now!
Should just pay a 6 month loan fee to United then within 1 month of his contract going get him signed up to a pre contract a nice signing bonus and have him with us for the next 3 years.
Saying that! what's the reckoning he's off to Roma to join Mourinho when his contract runs out! I mean that's just a wild plucked out of the air scenario but not unplausible.
That big Nigerian geezer? he was pony if I'm honest. Some others on here did rate him too, or maybe it was you! hahabubbles1966 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 6:21 pm Latest link from France is Ludovic Ajorque - a 6'6" striker.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
His biggest issue was that he didn't take his chances...our lot couldn't handle him in the air.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
Again, why on Earth would Man Utd strengthen a rival for a 6 month loan? That would be the most insane decision they could possibly make re Lingard.Mullhull wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 6:22 pm No surprise there really! He's not had to do much for a while now!

10 goals and 6 assists in 18 games this season, not bad at all.bubbles1966 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 6:21 pm Latest link from France is Ludovic Ajorque - a 6'6" striker.

16 goals and 4 assists last season.
27 but seemed to be a late bloomer!

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
I liked him as well. Yes he didn’t take his chances, but Antonio struggles with this sometimes too, and I think he could do well winning headers and helping in linkup and holdup play.bubbles1966 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 6:28 pm His biggest issue was that he didn't take his chances...our lot couldn't handle him in the air.
He doesn’t look it (because of his height), but he’s actually quite rapid as well when he is bursting into the box. He ran the 100m when younger.
Also imagine Cresswell delivering corners to Zouma, Soucek, Rice, Dawson, Antonio, and Onuachu late in a game when we’re chasing a winning or tying goal…

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
Because the races you are involved in run from Jan-May and you need the car now.
Paying a little more now may mean you win one of these races which would likely cover the additional outlay plus make the supporters of your garage very happy.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
WhoScored lists his strengths as:
Finishing, Headed Attempts, Aerial Duels and Defensive Contribution.
Weaknesses: Discipline
Likes to do layoffs
Likes to play long balls
Plays the ball off the ground often
Likes to do flick ons
Likes to tackle
Sounds up Moyes' alley.

Because if they don't get any money for him now they're going to lose him for free.Bubbles Fortuna wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 6:30 pm Again, why on Earth would Man Utd strengthen a rival for a 6 month loan? That would be the most insane decision they could possibly make re Lingard.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
Even a £5 million loan fee would not be worth it if we finish above them.

Ajorque's YouTube highlights really aren't very good
But, he is from Reunion... If he has anywhere close to the impact of our last Reunionite...

It's not like they need the money either. But yeah they're just going to lose him for free.Bubbles Fortuna wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 6:47 pm Even a £5 million loan fee would not be worth it if we finish above them.
I thought about those 'rumours' he was going to Tottenham and still think he would end up at Roma if he doesn't come back to us.
Unless he really wants to earn serious £££ and go to Newcastle (if they stay up)

He can hold some furry dice over his head instead of a scarf when he signs!

Be nice to have someone in now
I hope Cresswell and zouma coming back does not distract us
We need a LB CB CF

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
It'd be interesting to see how many French based players we've been linked to in the last couple of years
The only one we signed came via Fulham
Any links to the French should probably be treated with a pinch of salt...I think a few of the news outlets out there have us on autofill
I have a feeling the Ake rumours may start up again soon... he's a safe loan option
