Re: The Johnson Government 2019-2024

I went out for exercise once a day. I didn't see my kids for 10 weeks, and didn't see my mum for 13. I asked to be furloughed because I was working with people who, quite frankly, didn't give a monkeys and acted irresponsibly. I had my shopping delivered because I didn't want to take any risks. I followed all the rules, every last damned one of them.

These pricks didn't.

So, forgive me if I feel I have been duped, laughed at and short changed from the government. I shall never, ever vote Tory again.

A plague on all their houses.

Appears that you not only provide wisdom to this site but also sarcasm.

If people cannot handle honesty then that's their problem.

As an adult, I am able to perform my own risk assessment. I took a calculated risk, we limited the people we met, effectively creating bubbles. In that time there was the sum of zero cases. In fact, it took friends of ours to go to Ibiza for one of them to test positive.

If people honestly believe that people, on the whole, were locking down and not breaking rules or at least pushing them to their limits, then frankly that is naive.

I appreciate those who have a low-risk tolerance, mental health issues, or are worried about their underlying health conditions, it was a case of double-bolting the door and not going out, but that's their decision.

One small consolation is Johnson will always be known as the man who partied while the bodies piled high and the Queen buried her husband, and then refused to even see why that was wrong.

He lives his life in a moral vacuum, and even now his only thought is 'how can I get away with this?'

If you work at Number 10 and ain't chummy with Carrie then you're probably toast.

How's he going to justify who he throws on the bonfire to save his sweaty hide?

The only positive spin I can see for Boris is that contrary to popular belief, he can organise a piss-up.

If you were in attendance at one of these parties then you should be getting ready to upload your CV. Simple as that.

Military Officials at these parties as well. The elite and upper class really are laughing at everyone in this country.

I wonder what Bas Javid. the brother of Sajid Javid and is also the Assistant Commissioner for Professional Standards at the Met makes off all this 🤔

Anyone looking highlight any if this needs to be squeaky clean. That most likely rules out most of fleet street and most of Westminster. Yet again the highest example of how to run your life with enough respect comes from the silent majority. The very people that politics shits over.

Sorry to quote meself. From earlier, RR.
Samba wrote: Fri Jan 14, 2022 6:32 pm Could well be. The trouble is, so many of the Cabinet are, imo at the least, deeply unpopular, unpleasant people. Sunak might be popular with people but is that largely because he's spent much of his time as Chancellor, throwing cash around like a drunken sailor on shore leave?
Raab, Patel, Truss, Gove, Eustace, Shapps, Dorries, Rees-Smug, Zahawi, Krazy Kwasi, Coffey...
Talk about a Murmuration of W*nkers.
Exchange Bodger for one of those?
Labour will still be laughing.
