I’m looking forward to the outrage of the sky pundits having to talk about West Ham vs Leeds instead of the North London AND ITS LIVEEEEEEE Derby.Aceface wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 5:09 pmThe NLD will be a litmus year for whether it’s actually Covid that is still driving these postponements. If they only have one case and it gets called off, the charade will be over.
AFCON attendees, a few muscle injuries and Xhaka being an idiot aren’t legitimate reasons to postpone a game.
Is now a good time for the season to be suspended?

Really hope Burnley go down.
Selling a key player then getting a game postponed due to lack of players is just wrong. The league should be deducting points now.
Cheeky c****.

Re: Is now a good time for the season to be suspended?
I hope it does get suspended as an extra game for both later down the line only helps us if we carry on getting points on the board.
Spurs also have another few to get through, it really does work in our favour.

It's a farce, but then it has been from the start. I hope it gets postponed like they want. Does us a favour really. Opportunity to go further clear and have the likes of Arsenal and Spurs with extra games.
If it's only one bout of covid though, surely it goes ahead. AFCON is known about in advance and Xhaka being his usual self is just tough luck.

Tbf, if reports are to be believed, Burnley had no option but to sell Wood once the release clause was met.westham, eggyandchips wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 5:21 pmReally hope Burnley go down.

Now, Arsenal and other getting games cancelled because of spurious knocks or afcon (FFS) should be penalised.

Who is going to penalise them or Dock them points? It is the Premier League who say Yay or Nay to the requests.
It is the fault of the Premier League if games are getting called off for spurious reasons (they can just say No) and the over the top Covid rules

I am surprised the Premier league are continuing to allow this to happen. Surely it is in their best intrest (in terms of selling a product) to actually play the games. It will be a lot harder to rearrange games once European football starts again. Unless it's Spurs. Or Arsenal. Lol.

Re: Is now a good time for the season to be suspended?
I should have been more specific- I simply mean they should say no and make them play - the EPL set the rules and yet teams (Newcastle) play one day, get a couple of knocks to their better players and suddenly have a covid outbreak - Liverpool have a number of “false positives” (did they b0ll0x) way above the average.Crouchend_Hammer wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 8:14 pmWho is going to penalise them or Dock them points? Investigate properly and then penalise if any wrong doing is found - award their opponents a 3-0 win for the cancelled games, even if they’ve played them and won.
That’s pointless though as we all know it’s be the non-big 6 that get penalised.

Loaned out two players and further two are out for disciplinary reasons. Absolute disgrace asking for this to be cancelled.

Clubs cannot fake positive Covid tests. The follow up to the LFTs (the PCRs) are verified by the Premier Leaguemickthekeeper wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 8:22 pmI should have been more specific- I simply mean they should say no and make them play - the EPL set the rules and yet teams (Newcastle) play one day, get a couple of knocks to their better players and suddenly have a covid outbreak - Liverpool have a number of “false positives” (did they b0ll0x) way above the average.

They can, in theory, fake injuries but these are also checked by an independent medical team
The main problem is the fact that young players who have not played a league game this season are not considered to be 'available' when the PL assess whether a game should be postponed or not

Absolute chancers. 1 bloody case of covid
Liverpool at least tried to cover their tracks, said they had 4 when in fact 3 were false positives.
Arsenal on the other hand are literally begging for a leg up from the premier league.

The only downside of making them play is it will be of benefit to Spurs, who have had enough benefit from all this so far...

That leads to Liverpool's 'False Positives', you could claim three or four positives on an LFT when you've not had any and low and behold they come back negative on the PL verified PCR but by then your injuries have cleared up.

So the PCRs are verified but the LFT isn't?Crouchend_Hammer wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 9:23 pmClubs cannot fake positive Covid tests. The follow up to the LFTs (the PCRs) are verified by the Premier League
