Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
Given that they are 22 points ahead of Man Utd It might be that City loan us half their team to stop Man Utd’s qualification for UCLwestlondonhammer wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 7:23 pmI have a feeling the Ake rumours may start up again soon... he's a safe loan option

Height doesn't necessarily make you a lamppost.
Does a lot of running in the channels if YouTube is anything to go by.

It's the natural order that the massive clubs take players from lesser clubsBubbles Fortuna wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 6:12 pmHonestly if I were Man Utd I wouldn't sell Lingard to us.
The most we'll offer is £15 million, if he produces anything close to last seasons form our chances of finishing top 6 will increase big time.
They'll see us above them already, Arsenal and Tottenham improving, is £15 million for Lingard worth possibly condemning then to 7th?

Agree, technically he looked really poor.
Looks like someone who would do well in the Championship but in the prem would be option C.

My wife is from Mauritius and they don’t get on with their island neighbours at Reunion.Bubbles Fortuna wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 6:47 pmAjorque's YouTube highlights really aren't very good![]()
But, he is from Reunion... If he has anywhere close to the impact of our last Reunionite...
For that reason she’s not a fan of Payet, whom you clearly refer to, despite him being an absolutely class player. Albeit a bit chubby and disloyal.
Those free kicks though... sublime talent.

Finally able to log back in!
Interesting links to Buchanan. Wonder if we can take advantage of their financial plight to scoop up a couple youngsters and loan them back for the season or 18 months. Buchanan and Jason Knight for £5m or so? Would be a good move.
Some young players I would love us to target this window/summer:
Lee Buchanan, LB
Jason Knight, CM/CAM
Fabio Carvalho, AM
Boubacar Kamara, DM,
James Hill (Fleetwood), CB
Aaron Hickey, LB
Adam Hlozek, ST/LW
Most could be brought in on the cheap and would have incredible sell on potential if needed. Would give us a great young core going forward.

Looks decent on his YouTube’s - runs the channels, goals with both feet and head, gets on the end of balls across the box on the floor and in the air and links up play.bubbles1966 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 6:21 pmLatest link from France is Ludovic Ajorque - a 6'6" striker.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
Kamara, who we have been linked to again in the press recently and have been before, appears to be waiting until summer. I can see it being a hotly contested battle for that signature, the talent is there and he's going to be free. Would be shocked if we win it

I'm surprised we haven't brought Hlozek in. Would have thought that would be easy to facilitate and he fits what we need quite well. Perhaps Moyes doesn't rate him, and doesn't think he can play up front for us or make an impact from the wing.

Anyone who plays 30% of the minutes in the top flight in France, Germany, Italy or Spain automatically qualifies I think.hammer1975 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 8:25 pmLooks decent on his YouTube’s - runs the channels, goals with both feet and head, gets on the end of balls across the box on the floor and in the air and links up play.

They don't need caps or anything.

In that case - I’m in, looks a better fit than half the players we’ve been linked with and I’m also won over by S-H’s giraffe comment.
Lol (quietly awaits a gif of a giraffe running).

Looking at this thread is like buying a Bentley but when you look at the log book its an Austin Allegro Vanden Plas. Pardon?
