It might sound daft but I think I’m more nervous due to us also playing them last week. Just hope they haven’t learned too much from that game.

Liverpool vs Brentford are kicking off at the same time as us today, yet inexplicably Sky have chosen to show our game.

OK, let's break into the top two then and then see what they do about it. They'll probably just show Man City, siting alone at the topThe Old Man of Storr wrote: ↑Sun Jan 16, 2022 9:50 am I noticed Match of the Day were doing the same today [ last night ] .

I wish Moyes had brought on a couple of kids in the week when we went 2 up to give players a rest, Antonio in particular. I have a strange feeling he is close to getting an injury as he looked a little 'tender' after an incident in that match. Wonder if he will start?

I'm sure those 7 minutes would have made all the difference..Hamburger wrote: ↑Sun Jan 16, 2022 10:26 am I wish Moyes had brought on a couple of kids in the week when we went 2 up to give players a rest, Antonio in particular. I'm another with an ominous feeling about today.
Our record against them has been exemplary, but they are always in the game against us. At some point, if we drop off just a little bit, they'll get something.
Raphinha, along with the absent Phillips, are a couple of players I'd love to see play for us.

It ain't what you do, it's the way that you do it..... that's what gets results.Bristoliron338 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 11:55 pm Vlasic relegated to the bench for me. We have to keep him hungry. Same way moyes did it with benarama.

We need to start taking those easier chances today and not making unnecessary hard work of it as we did in the last two games.

We don't need to. It's perfectly fine to win the way we have been.Burnley Hammer wrote: ↑Sun Jan 16, 2022 10:34 am We need to start taking those easier chances today and not making unnecessary hard work of it as we did in the last two games.
It'd be nice though.

Make that three. I’m trying to assure myself it’s a case of West Ham having conditioned me to not expect us to play well for successive games. Think the Soucek news could be bigger than people are crediting too.bubbles1966 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 16, 2022 10:30 am I'm another with an ominous feeling about today.

This Leeds team will probably be stronger than last week. As someone else said - we need to take our chances better than the last two games as we’ve not been clinical enough imo.

If we bring them on they then count as players for consideration of games being postponed.Hamburger wrote: ↑Sun Jan 16, 2022 10:26 am I wish Moyes had brought on a couple of kids in the week when we went 2 up to give players a rest, Antonio in particular. If we have a real outbreak, and not an Arsenal outbreak we'll need to have the option of postponement.

This thing about clinical finishing - we score roughly once every seven attempts. Leeds are closer to once every fourteen.

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Leeds Utd: match thread
Leeds are definitely going to have a bit more about them today, but I generally see the em as a lot of bluster and hard work with not a lot of end product. Still a little worried though. Who knows.
