Yeah let's do what we do every season we're in 4th...not sign anyone, fall down the league and have another go next year.

If anyone watching today seriously thinks we don't need a CB or someone to bring for Antonio then words fail me.

We absolutely need better than Diop.

But if they're not an improvement on Dawson too it's pointless.

Why waste money on Nat Phillips and be stuck with him for four years?

What are you talking about? Is Nat Phillips the only centre back in the world? That’s what we have scouts and a manager for, to scour Europe and identify targets. That’s Moyes’ job, he’s had a whole year to get a striker too, the excuses are wearing a bit thin.

It was an example you absolute pelican. Just one of the very average centerbacks or strikers the media is linking us to.

We also haven't had a scouting network for years  Moyes is only just trying to get one off the ground.

Bad day at the office for Moyes. Moaning before the game. Amd somehow he has managed to take Fornals and Vlasic off and put in Arthur and Yarmo.

Mother of God.

One of the most experienced managers in the PL can't identify a defender better than Diop?

Lets be honest, the summer window has been a bit of a mess aswell.

Overpaid for Vlasic by at least 15m, Kral a waste of time and Areola just a cup keeper.

Better than Diop is pointless. He's 4th choice. And that's before we take into account other clubs demands and the budget the owners allow.

We need better than Ogbonna.

Areola is much younger than Fabianski and will likely be starting by season's end seeing as Fabianski can't kick a ball.

Kral was a try before you buy, glad we didn't actually buy him.

Extremely harsh on Vlasic, imagine the state of the starting 11 today if we hadn't signed him.

Please. Just...please.

We so obviously need reinforcements. I can't see 4th slip through our fingers again.

I'd genuinely throw our whole budget at a centreback and if there isn't one available better than Ogbonna if keep out powder dry for summer.

If we want to establish ourselves as a Top 6 contender we need to stick our necks out and find ways to strengthen the team, even if it costs a little

If we don't sign an alternative to Antonio, there is something deeply wrong at the club. They can't keep saying their preferred options aren't available. Find someone else. They're stubbornly obsessing over perfect, and ending up with the insane position of having an injury prone and inconsistent 31 year old as our only striker.

We were well under par today, but those subs just compounded it. A goal down? Take off Vlasic and Fornals and bring in Masuaku and Yarmolenko!

Can't believe how poor Antonio has been yet again. Was a beast first 8 games of so. Just runs around a lot and never looks like scoring atm. His touch and decision - making have deserted him. Needs a rest, but the alternative is stroller Yarmolenko. For God's sake, Dave, get a decent striker in or we won't make top 6 let alone 4!

Even just picking up Benteke in the summer on a free would mean Antonio was only playing 70 mins and is fitter for each game. Brining on Perkins is embarrassing to be honest.

We did the same under Bilic. Finished in Europe and filled the squad with Calleri, Zaza and Ashley Fletcher. What did we do this time? Got in a cup keeper on loan, a CM who clearly isn’t good enough and spent £30m on a bloke who has done nothing yet to justify that price tag. The only decent signing was Zouma, obviously. Not good enough at all.

There was a point today where he controlled the ball, looked up and then you could see him slowly trying to pass the ball to the player he'd seen, but the Leeds player spotted it and was about 2 seconds ahead of him and just intercepted. His speed of thought is deadful.

How have we conceded 6 goals against Southampton and Leeds and people want a striker?

If we only sign one player it absolutely has to be a defender.

Though both would be nice
