There’s a middle ground: keep him until he’s got 18 months left then auction him off for as much as we can get. Should still get north of 50 I reckon.

I don’t think he’s the type to want to do it, but you couldn’t blame him for kicking up a fuss if we turned down a bid from a top club for him.
90/100 million has to be the starting offer though now/this summer.

Totally agree, but I don’t think the jizz twins could resist it. Plus I do believe Rice will kick up a fuss when the times comes.

We have no reason to believe he'll kick up a fuss.

He has a contract, I expect him to honour it.

For him to stay beyond this season we need to win either the FA cup or the EL.

I think he’ll stay as long as we are in some sort of European competition for at least 1 more season. I’m not worried. Other than possibly Man Utd, I can’t see which other top 6 club are likely to come in for him this coming summer.

But it's not just their call any more. Other voices now have a say. A big say.

If Declan goes I think it will be foe in excess of 100 million. Big clubs will want him, not necessarily that they need him, but to stop any large club rival from having him.

Seriously he's an England Captain in waiting, and the money he could earn is far above our aspiration and practicality. The money the club would receive would be enormous. I hope he stays I really do but understand if any of our players want to leave to win things and fiscally secure their future.

I hope that if he does go its at the end of the next season when Sullivan is gone, so he cant say we are skint whilst riding into the LS on his diamante Elephant, like some rhinestone mahout.
