This season we missed out on qualification from the group stages due to playing an ineligible player, I think.

I thought he was outstanding tonight, a man amongst boys.

That's part of the problem, IMHO - the level of intensity and physicality of the boys in PL2 is just worlds away from playing in an adult league - it's an absolutely massive step up from playing against a bunch of frail waifs to battling against some lightning fast or physically intimidating adult forward.

longello, alese, baptiste and okoflex are the next ones in line for a chance in the first team/squad.

trouble is we need players now but I think we may see them more next season.

Oko-Flex's goal last night was awesome. Sounds like he's been doing very well in the U23s. Can't help but worry if he could be this year's Nathan Holland though. Hopefully, will get a shot at first-team action soon.

The defending and the goalkeeping is very ordinary. I would say highlights like that tell us very little about how ready he may be to play any sort of role in the Premier League.

I think Nevers would have been more involved on the first team bench (over Perkins) but he has been out as well
