^ Unfortunately most people have bought into the myth that it's employers who "create wealth".

As already pointed out trade existed long before governance. And also as already pointed out, said civil servant is only giving back tax money to the government that had been paid to them by the government out of money collect from outside government. If the public sector gets bigger and bigger, the same money just gets passed around with no real growth generated. I’m not questioning the worth of how tax money is or should be used. I’m just saying without money generated from private economy wealth there is no tax system. Yet we have people who sneer at the principles of profit through private trade and wealth creation.
You might be talking about that, that doesn't make me wrong.

No, he won't. He'll probably go and do something else instead. That doesn't mean that he isn't paying tax on his income. He himself is generating wealth by helping the biscuit company generate wealth.

You seem to be assuming that all public sector workers don't generate wealth. When teachers teach children they equip them with skills to go through life with and generate wealth. When governments build roads, they help people get from A to B and generate wealth. When the NHS helps a builder by fixing his broken arm, they enable him to return to work and generate wealth. The police, by maintaining law and order, given business a place when they can trade knowing that the legal system is there to protect them and that their business won't be misappropriated as it may be in Russia or wherever.

I agree about people sneering about the principles of profit through trade. Governments can and do help to facilitate trade, thereby aiding wealth creation. I even remember Corbyn taking a backward step when someone pointed out that he'd need bankers to hang around in order to fund his free turnips for all.

Tory MP Christian Wakeford defects to Labour.

One of the 2019 intake of Tory MPs has walked out of the party to join the Labour benches.

Christian Wakeford, who took the red wall seat of Bury South in the last election, had already called for Boris Johnson to go, revealing he had put in a letter of no confidence last week.

But he has now quit the party and joined Labour.

Ian Blackford savaged him when he saw him laughing whilst he was asking his question.

Johnson is not fit to be PM. It's nothing to do with politics, he's simply brought shame on that great office.

Who could have seen that a man sacked twice for lying, who doesn't know how many kids he has and who cheated on his wife while she was going through cancer treatment was unfit to be Prime Minister?

Veteran Conservative backbencher David Davis dramatically calls for Boris Johnson to resign, telling MPs he expects leaders to take responsibility for their actions.

"In the name of God, go", he adds.

PMQs shows why he’s still PM. Starmer utterly useless and ended up getting embarrassed himself.

Blackford much more scathing and effective than and Starmer but he’s wholly unlikeable.

Unless his own party turn on him, Boris is pretty untouchable.

Yep, one of the lies he told today was that average families were now better off.

Anyway, here's David Davis speech in full, and the PM lieing once again in response.

Oh don't worry, they will. Tory MPs are like sharks, as soon as they smell blood they'll all be circling ready to move in for the kill.

Think the last Conservsative PM to face a Vote of no confidence was Margaret Thatcher. She was determined to stave off Michael Hesseltine. In the end, we got Johnny Major

Let's not forget May going through a VONC from her own party.

Lot of quotes from prominent MPs out there saying that even after winning 65-35 her position was untenable. Mr Mogg is sending a porter off to have his ferret costume cleaned as we speak....
