A team of mercenaries, f*ck ‘em.
If Newcastle are the only club that Man Utd will deal with (regarding Lingard) then it's also a choice of half a season playing vs half a season on the bench?

What about:
De Bruyne
Firmino
Son
Aubameyang
Gundogan
Dzeko
Arnautovic
Højbjerg
Matip
Pulisic

Pretty sure most came from the German league... so big fee's in there
like I said, obviously a bit tongue in cheek and yeah obviously there are good players there, just feels like there's a higher quantity of flops coming from that league than any other.

Page 420, I suggest everyone just blaze it and calm down for the rest of the afternoon. Stuff will happen eventually, and if stuff doesn't happen then it'll still be fine.

And if he goes there and plays against us I don't want to hear any muggy applause for him by then he would've made his choice....... If he signs for us on the other hand........ Clap him to the rafters 😁😁

Why would that be the case? They loaned him out to us before and Moyes and Fergie are pretty paly by all accounts.

Rangnick wont be able to keep him of a solid offer comes in as Man Utd will want some coin for him, and huge wages could sway his decision. But as it stands I think he’s winding his contract down for a bigger signing on fee.

Indeed. If his choice is to play on loan at Newcastle for 6 months and join someone for free in the summer, or sit on Man Utd's bench for 6 months and join someone for free, he could easily take the latter. It's what he's doing right now.

If Newcastle offer him a permanent deal for 3.5 years on stupid money, it's a different discussion.

Because according to reports they don't want him to come here, as they don't want to strengthen a top four rival.

So even though he wants to come here, he won't have the option, unless he joins in the summer.

That's why Newcastle for half a season will be better for him, than warming Man Utd's bench for half season

But why? He earns his wage at either club. If playing ahead of a World Cup was on his mind, he'd have made a fuss to move by now.

Surely playing for half a season on loan is better than not playing?

The only reason he stayed at the Man utd this summer was because OGS promised him game time, which ultimately didn't transpire.

The fact he's not kicking up a fuss is a good thing, surely?

It's his boyhood club we're talking about too, there is an emotional element to all this as well as the respect he clearly has for them.

Not everything has to be about money, does it?

He might genuinely just want to play football, if coming to West Ham was an option, then no doubt he'd be here.

He can easily do both and play. Also, another good half of a season, his options in the Summer will be pretty good again. I still hope he tries to push a move, but I think this scenario suits him.

He's had three weeks to try and play football somewhere else...the whole situation strikes me that he's much more relaxed about not playing this season than you think.

I'd be pleased if he turned up, but not gutted if he didn't. We're too massive nowadays to worry about those that don't get it. '

Makes sense, but I read in The Guardian he’s more than likely seeing his Utd contract out. Seems to the en vogue thing with players at the moment like Rudiger, Insigne etc. insigne just got a monster deal at Toronto to the disgust of the Napoli fans.

Of course Newcastle could come in with a huge wage offer and transfer fee to keep both parties happy. And he’d probably want a relegation clause inserted, so if they stay up (which looks like they might do at the expense of Burnley’s rearranged fixtures) then he’d ended up staying there.

F*ck ‘em I say. I forgot about Lingard months ago.

Whilst he has a contract there, it's still in Man Utd's hands, if he goes anywhere this month, not his.
