Origi would be better than Brereton imo and cheaper surely.
Origi would smash it in the Championship.

Sold Haller over a year ago and Moyes said he had the budget for a striker. Still no signing after scouting for a year.
We really are taking in depth scouting to the next level!
Yep makes a very pleasant change from the cannot get “X” (Gomez) so we will sign Haller instead (despite him being so totally unsuited to the team) approach that worked so well.

Whg hasnt he brought in a centre back, or striker I am scratching my head for an explanation to that

You mean well researched signings who make a difference like Kral? Areola? Vlasic? Our new system is working a treat.

There's no harm in asking the question. If we've got a £20m budget (or whatever it is), let's see if they're for turning.
If we are genuinely interested do you seriously think we have not “asked the question” both with regard to Brereton and any other player we are genuinely interested in?

Not signing a player does not equate to not trying to get your targets.

So you are comparing the financial consequences of relegation from the Championship to League 1 to promotion from the Championship to the PL. Hull likely saw the sale of Bowen as covering the cost of the former how much do you propose paying to equate to the latter?
I know it's different.

But I wouldn't rule them out of selling him, based on a promotion push, selling him means securing guaranteed income, there is no guarantee they will go up..

They could quite easily decide to keep him, have an awful second half of a season and miss out on promotion anyway, and potentially lose out on a decent fee for the player.

Or they could sell now for a premium, buy a replacement for a fraction of the cost.

Interesting when you look and compare stats with Brereton and Harry Kane.

Both kind of mediocre for the first few years then at the age of about 21 it started to click.

Brereton does look to have great technique and it seems inevitable that he will end up making the move to the Premier.
I actually thought he looks a little like him in his style of play.

And you know they will not. Short term gratification might be your thing but I hope for something more lasting.

So, Moyes is so forward thinking that if he buys a CF or CH now, we shouldn't expect them to have more than 20% playing time in the first 12 months.

If they are the right player and it takes that long for them to adapt then yes.

I believe we were seriously interested in Daka, did he start immediately at Leicester. Indeed only now due to the Vardy injury. As I say a considered approach is the right way. I accept others such as yourself might not agree, so be it.

Still no Schick/Cabral/CB?

I'll be back tomorrow then.

Kral and Areola, probably £125k + per week together and hardly played in any match that matters. Money well spent for a club like West ham? In my opinion, no.

I am supremely confident that this window we are doing our business in the same way we extended Antonio’s contract.

Therefore I can exclusively reveal that two weeks ago we signed 3 world class players but have not told anyone about it yet.

Go to bed 👍

Just an observation but for someone who appears not to like anything about West Ham, you do appear to spend a huge amount of your time bothering to be critical.

Honestly, the next time anyone wonders about why you'd bother with a striker who isn't quite as good as your main striker, how a second striker would even get any pitch time with Antonio being the main man, or that "Tottenham have the same issue', you can just sit them down and show them the last 90 seconds of last night's Spurs game. Where you can simultaneously witness three things: *both forwards getting minutes*, the lesser of the two bringing the team across the line on an occasion when their main man couldn't, and definitive proof that whatever issue Spurs have, it isn't the same as ours given our equivalent is a 17 year old.

And if that didn't convince them, you'd then play them footage of the League Cup quarter-final where the same "lesser" striker knocked us out, on a night where our only option had to be rested.

The pursuit of perfection is becoming increasingly self-defeating.

It could be worse, we could be dropping £60mil+ on dross like Ndombele.
