Quiz question....which Brazilian CB gave away a penalty in the quarter final, semi final and then the final of the UEFA cup two years ago?

Answer?
The sought by a London club, not Arsenal, Diego Carlos.

Regarding Diego Carlos

Let's say Money isn't the players primary motivation here..

Chelsea - he'll be cup tied for the Champions League, weren't they interested in his teammate Kounde, in the summer?
Spurs - No European football, but pushing for Champions League
Arsenal - No European football
West Ham - Doesn't strike me as a Moyes transfer, but European football

Could all be rubbish though, to get Newcastle to pony up more cash.

Diego Carlos - never heard of him never seen him kick a ball but if he plays football and costs around 40 million I’m all in. Sign him up.

I would steer clear, 28 and never played for Brazil no thanks,

last Brazillian we had with little or no caps was Anderson and I said the same before we signed him,

if they are that good they would have plenty caps

He wouldn't be cup tied if Chelsea want to register him.
I doubt any player decides their future based on 1 European campaign anyway.

I hope to god it's not us in for Carlos - if ever there was another mistake ridden defender waiting to come to the premiership he's it.

A few things due to happen next week provided x.y.z

Di Canio never played for Italy. Bonds and Noble never played for England.

Pretty sure Tim Vickery said similar about Carlos. Makes a lot of mistakes.

Saw him talking about him today. Said he has mistakes in him, but will give everything. Gave the impression he would be a good signing for whoever gets him

I think the person bemoaning the Areola signing is being very short sighted.

I very much doubt we'd have even made it to the League Cup semi final with Randolph in goal, our European games would have been much trickier and I doubt we keep a clean sheet against Leeds.

We are very fortunate to have two such by brilliant goalkeepers.

In fact, I'm sure if anything untoward was going on here, the mods would have dealt with it pretty sharpish - but from what I've seen, all the abuse is going one direction, and it's not from the poster in question.

The thing that's surprised me, is that it's been allowed to continue.

I've got no vested interest in the poster at all, but as a user of the site for a number of years, and as an ex-moderator, I find what's being directed towards this poster quite uncomfortable, despite what my own feelings on his content may be.

One of the main rules of THIS supporters site is that posters are treated with respect no matter what their opinions are, and thus far, it's not happening towards this poster in question.

I realise I may be a lone voice in this, but bullying is not acceptable, no matter who it is, nor what their opinions are.
Considering some of the stuff you’ve said about me over the years, this is golden.

Reading between the lines I reckon that’ll be Kortney Hause. Villa bring in 1-2 new centre halves, we get Hause.

I think I read that he's just signed a new contract.

If you're buying in August this would be fair, but now, half the clubs left in Europe will be out within 2 matches, I think it's got to be more on the potential for the next 2-3 years.
