I must say that I would be interested to see Corbyn’s take on the current situation in Ukraine, had he been in the hot seat at the Labour Party.

I still maintain his response to the Skripal Affair was the beginning of the end after 8 months of honeymoon post the 2017 GE.

His position is that he doesn't like imperialism but Russian imperialism is something he can turn a blind eye to.

It's interesting, because if Starmer can get shot of Corbyn and his pals, it will actually be a monumental achievement and one that will allow Labour to move forward quickly.

Having worked in massive, slow-moving organisations with key players who are unwilling to change and unwilling to see things another way, I know how hard it is to bring change, and if he does manage to get the hard-left faction out of the party within ihs first 2 years I would see that as a decent rate of success and something that bodes well for the future.

Agreed Stoney, Starmer has made a decent fist of a really difficult job thus far. He might yet be able to get Labour into a decent place where they're a credible alternative to the Conservatives.

It's equivalent to the Tory leader ousting JRM and the ERM nutters, except we all know what happened on that side of the aisle.

Starmer is certainly taking the Labour party down the right road now, he still has some battles ahead, but fair play so far.

How we need a strong Labour party to really challenge, would also be good to get the Lib Dems going again, not sure that will happen until they get rid of the numpty nuts currently leading them. Strong parties should theoretically keep everyone honest...

The Corbyn Project and it’s fellow travellers will never understand why behaviour like this is precisely why they were never given power, nor the keys to the Labour Party. Like with Brexit, they had zero credibility when it comes to foreign affairs, and their stopped clock mentality on managing conflict allowed them catch two major conflicts in their net, which they seem to apply as evidence of being right all the time.
