Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
Carvalho at Fulham and Brennan Johnson at Forest should be two we target. I mean the and, they both fit things we need and could see us with top talents for years.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
I can see why Moyes might be interested in that Dieng from Marseille...he might not score many but looks like he puts in a real shift tracking back, pressing, and getting the tackles in. Still very young too, and the Express are reporting he might be available on a loan to buy.

I'm still not sure I want Lingard regardless of whether he has a little dalliance with Newcastle or not.

Craig Nobody? But he's 35 and playing in New Zealand.
No, hold on, I've got something wrong there...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
Has it gotten that desperate that we're now discussing re-signing Henri Kamara?

They'd still list him as a forward in that god damn article.YorksHammer wrote: ↑Wed Jan 26, 2022 9:22 pm Is Kamara a realistic target for us? Seems half the league is being credited with interest. Can play CB and DM. Really impressed with him whenever I've seen him play.
Still got a gut feeling we'll have one new face by the end of the window. No more. Loan or permanent.

What’s the big deal if posters have a laugh in the midst of absolutely nothing at all happening? Bizarre.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
Carvalho would be a great signing based on his potential and the fact he's almost a free agent... Doesn't look to be overly creative though. He's more of a scorer. Harry Wilson is by far the most creative player in that Fulham side. All depends on how high we think Carvalhos ceiling is. I've only just realised too that they still have Seri playing for them!

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
Same goes for Johnson... loads of potential but at present I don't think he's Premier League ready. I don't think he's at the level that the likes of Bowen, Maddison, Benrahma etc were at before making the jump up. These are players we'd bring in for the future but not expect to make an immediate impact.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
I think the likes of John Swift, Jed Wallace, Harry Wilson etc are more likely to have an immediate impact. They're a little more seasoned, a bit more mature in their gameplay, and have performed well for multiple seasons.

Would hope he’s more magic like Harry and less rubbish like Robbie if he joins us

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
Brennan Johnson would be a great signing, he would suit our style of play much more than Carvalho or Kean-Potter. Only slight reservation is that he plays the same way/position as Dan Chesters who has signed a new three year contract today. Johnson is only 12 months older than Chesters. Chesters is also a top talent.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
I think he has been totally shafted by Man Utd. Refused a move in the Summer, refused a move to us this window and now Man Utd are playing silly buggers with Newcastle.
20 years at a club and this is how you get treated?

Well then, should we not just use Chesters?alantaylorsleftfoot wrote: ↑Wed Jan 26, 2022 10:10 pm Brennan Johnson would be a great signing, he would suit our style of play much more than Carvalho or Kean-Potter. They're talking about £15m Brennan Johnson. Shall we just invest a bit of time in one of our own rather than that kind of money for someone? We could spend £15m on Johnson and him not actually develop beyond his current level. We could invest some time in developing Chesters and maybe have another academy graduate regularly turning out alongside Rice and Johnson.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
Possibly, although Johnson would be ahead of him at the moment. He is Forest's best player. Real pace. Imagine a young Lingard (although probably better than JL at the same age). Might end up as a striker.YorksHammer wrote: ↑Wed Jan 26, 2022 10:25 pm Well then, should we not just use Chesters?

Chesters is the same; pacey and direct. He should always be on the 1st team bench, could make things happen in the last 15 minutes. A better sub than Arthur (in an attacking sense).
We just have to have more attacking options.
