Meme coins are enitirely dependent upon retail investor hype. I did catch onto the tail end of the spike however and managed to see 50% gains but then it started to dump rapidly and I got out within half a day to keep my gains. I would have gotten out sooner but Coinbase kept crashing.

Re: Cryptocurrency
So my Linxdot Miner is delayed... until APRIL
People are kicking off!
But I was speaking to one guy who was making 2 HNT a day using 3 miners in different locations. At ATH that was the equivelent of $30k per year.
I've also seen guides of people making Hotspots DIY using Raspberry Pi (I believe most of them are made from this anyway!)
So looks like I'm sat here for 3 more months waiting!

Re: Cryptocurrency
Thought HNT wasn't BTC convertible at the moment.
Took a look at the DIY Helium vRaspberrys and they look too techy for me.
Looking at the price for the original equipment from the offical Helium hotspot sellers, it'll take more than a year to get you investment back, if you have a good location.
Still intrigued by this project though...
So you're staking as much as possible. Might have to look into that myself.Mullhull wrote: ↑Mon Jan 24, 2022 2:46 pmMaiar app for $eGLD I'm locked into the highest APR on there currently.
I stake my $ICX on the ICONWallet connected through Ledger.
I bought all my $ADA on eToro so it's accumulating there.
I have some on Binance because I haven't moved my $ONE yet due to getting an OK rate on locked staking.
the the last one on there is $VET
Ultimately you lose out keeping it on an exchange but if you're not too bothered, then it's fine.

I love this thread, in a way. I read it every day and I haven't got a clue what any of you are saying. It might as well be in Swahili. I mean I'm supposed to read it all in case you might be bickering or swapping instructions for building a vest bomb or something, but then again you might be doing both of those things anyway for all I'm able to decipher.
Maybe every couple of months I'll post a generic "Okay gents, that'll do, back on topic" just to cover my ballbags in case it turns out you're a bunch of cyberterrorists coordinating a massive viral attack in code.
(Just to put my mind at rest: You're not a bunch of cyberterrorists coordinating a massive viral attack, are you? You'd tell me if you were, wouldn't you?

I guess nobody will be buying any lambos for the forseeable. What is happening with Terra Luna is beyond brutal.

They'll need to reinforce the steel pole that supports the seat, for sure.

Wouldn't be so sure. The altcoin Terra Luna's price a month ago was £90+ and right now it is £12.30.
EDIT: Now below £5

It is now worth just over £1. Crazy for something which was worth billions in market cap to get destroyed into oblivion so quickly.

Re: Cryptocurrency
If you look at what digital assets were worth most 5-6 years ago, you'd find plenty that has disappeared.
Digital assets are a relative new class and will continue to develop. It might always end up being volatile, as it can be out-competed by start ups, if they won't consolidate as we've seen in today's market.
Internet based, blockchain technology with purely digital assets such as NFTs will not disappear. So someone will reap the benefits.
Apple with their Macintosh were in the game early doors. Remember IBM's personal computers, or Olivetti. Xerox tried, same as Commodore and Atari, or Sinclair's ZX.
Now most of us use our phones, pads or dedicated consoles for what the PCs would offer.
When digital assets are used in finance with DeFi, NFTs the base of games and art (imagine that you could buy individualised pictures for your Samsung Frame) and blockchain technology the go-to approach for interaction between people, it'll be massive, just like us

After watching the film ' Limitless ' I bought myself a copy of Brian Greene's ' The Elegant Universe ' - I understand more of that than I do this thread .

Re: Cryptocurrency
So yesterday when Luna went to around a dollar I thought it must be near the bottom. When I went to buy it was around $5 already. I chucked in £250. Today I woke up and Luna had gone down to 5 cents! I bought 4000 more at that price. The price is fluctuating a great deal obviously but at present I have two grand suddenly.
It could go to zero obviously but I wanna see if they get the dollar peg issue fixed. I don't anticipate Luna to recapture that trust but the risk reward ratio is very favourable. To me anyway. So I'm gonna let it ride.

Re: Cryptocurrency
So the madness continues. On Crypto.com I wasn't able to withdraw or sell my Luna as I had to first set up USDC tramsactions with my bank which is Lloyd's which was peculiarly not in their list so needs a scanned bank statement so I will need to go to my office and print one. Meanwhile the price has tanked although my crypto.com account shows I still have most of my earlier balance. No idea why but don't expect this to be the case I am able to withdraw.
As I said, if it goes down the drain I will lose a monkey. But on the upside I could see 100x returns. If I buy now, 1000x returns. But that's enough crypto and Internet for me now.

Re: Cryptocurrency
The problem with Luna is its integrity, which I highly doubt can recover considering the nature of the coin.
It isn't like Bitcoin, where there is a finite amount available. More Luna continues to be produced with theoretically no limit.
As it is propped up by another coin (can't remember the name), it is essentially a Ponzi scheme.
Still worth a flutter if that's your thing, as you are essentially gambling that more people follow suit after you.
I see the viability of Bitcoin as a cryptocurrency, but the history of digital asset stocks isn't really a good one to base a proper investment strategy on.
I've personally stayed away from crypto, as I really don't know enough about it to feel comfortable even putting a small part of my portfolio towards it.
