Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
I could list a whole load of them, from Gus Poyet's boy, through Martin Samueson via Haksabanovic, up to the current day, in Mesaque Dju and we can the number of first team appearances between the lot of 'em on the fingers of one hand. I know individually they didn't cost much, but you add up the combined fees together and there you have it, a not insignificant amount of money, totally wasted

I am starting to think this Newman was only brought in so Sully has another person to blame. Husillos II.
Very disappointing

You only need one to make it to validate this strategy.Puff Daddy wrote: ↑Thu Jan 27, 2022 5:37 pm I could list a whole load of them, from Gus Poyet's boy, through Martin Samueson via Haksabanovic, up to the current day, in Mesaque Dju and we can the number of first team appearances between the lot of 'em on the fingers of one hand. And that's without considering that the money we made selling Ashley Fletcher likely covered all of their fees.
Such a weird hill to die on.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
You may be right there. This window is shaping up to be a huge sliding doors moment for the club.hammerman11 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 27, 2022 6:07 pm Rice will be off in the summer after we finish 10th after no signings
If and it’s a huge if… we don’t sign anyone, I could genuinely see 9th or 10th in the league and not many more games in the cups.
It’s not that the players aren’t good enough, they just need some support. A couple of players now could be just the boost that they need. Lingard done it last season and cost us about £2m or £3m loan and his wages. It was hardly breaking the bank money. However it worked.
We’ve had 6 months since the last window to be scouting players and readying bids. I’m sure we’ve made some bids but clearly not tested the water on certain players.
I hope you and me are both wrong but this could be a massive turning point for the club

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
Bowen too. These players have ambition and will want to win silverware and to do that, they need to play with better players and you can't blame them if they leavehammerman11 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 27, 2022 6:07 pm Rice will be off in the summer after we finish 10th after no signings
Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
Sulli specials, sloppy seconds after Newcastle and Arsenal or "who we nearly signed for fifty million, but it will be available in the summer after we sell Rice and Bowen
