Seriously I think he'll do well. He's a good all round player, his off the ball movement is very good, and he knows how to finish. I think he'll go on to be a Danny Ings type striker. A big lad too so can only be an advantage with our corners and set-pieces. Obviously there's always an element of risk in these signings but I think he'll succeed.
You are not 1st Choice for England Under 19's for two seasons without a pedigree. Yet, listening to some on here it is if he has been spotted playing on Hackney Marshes.
He made his League debut for Forest age 17 and scored his 1st League Goal age 17. He was voted the Championship Apprentice of the year the same season. Blackburn paid £7m.
He is 22, 6'1", has pace, works like a trojan, is great in the air and has scored 20 Championship goals in the 1st half of the season. Moyes and Newman (apparently) rate him.
He may not be the finished article, but apart from DCL or Schick he would be my choice. It is rumoured that Blackburn will sell for £25m. This is similar money to what we paid for Vlasic and Benrhama. It doesn't appear to be much of a financial risk (given his goalscoring record and international exposure, even if he fails he will retain value). I think that other than some Sakho style signing from the French League, if we are signing a striker, he is the one. I still don't think our stock is high enough (yet) to pull off the Schick/DCL or Vlahovic type signing. So as I was taught, when I was a kid, chasing girls - "set attainable targets"!
