Cant see the club spending 150m would be surprised if our net spend was anything close to over 100m unless Rice was being sold.

I would imagine the club is making two plans for summer: one where we win the Europa League, bring in some talent, and Rice signs a new contract; and another where we get eliminated tonight, get 7th or 8th, and Rice gets sold next summer.

I’d be really disappointed if there wasn’t a plan for if the worst happened. Sensible clubs have targets identified for every position if the incumbents were to leave, it’s what Leicester do and arguably, very successful at it.blahblahblah wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 5:25 pm I would imagine the club is making two plans for summer: one where we win the Europa League, bring in some talent, and Rice signs a new contract; and another where we get eliminated tonight, get 7th or 8th, and Rice gets sold next summer.

He's been superb against us every time this season.
Well worth a punt. Not many 20/21 year olds playing CF or CB in the PL.

I could I can see it as a lower cost option (I’m guessing 20-30m) with money going on a quality lw

Gonna be a lot of West Ham fans disappointed when they see he isn’t always the player we have seen him as.
But he is the right age and profile, could rotate well with Antonio.
I’d like the rip the spine out of Southampton and get him, JWP and Salisu

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2022.
We need two, unless Johnson is playing LB.
Cresswell has officially reached Mcknight, Roberto levels now.
Thing is, he's been dreadful in the league - not just Europe. The odd good cross is not enough.

People were blinded by all his "assists" last seasonbubbles1966 wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 8:40 pm We need two, unless Johnson is playing LB.

Careful guys, you’ll be told that you’re not even a real fan if you point out Aaron’s mediocre to abysmal performances for us

Career ending performance tonight.
it was like watching Karius drop the ball in the net in the CL final.
No way back.

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2022.
The glaring holes are the same as before this game. Starting LB, Starting CB, CM competition for Soucek, a starting calibre CF and being greedy a new LW/Attacking mid

I wish that were true but Moyes seems incredibly loyal to his senior prosbubbles1966 wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 9:59 pm Career ending performance tonight.

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2022.
Cresswell's failings have cost in the league as well as Europe.
He was terrible at Leicester, Spurs and Brentford.
He is costing the club millions in lost revenue.

Being a bit over dramatic mate, we are all disappointed.bubbles1966 wrote: ↑Thu May 05, 2022 10:02 pm Cresswell's failings have cost in the league as well as Europe.

He made another mistake because he isn't good enough. There is no malice in it.
The fault lies in him not being upgraded on for 18 months and persistently playing a defender who can't defend. We have penny pinched for years at full back.
Do I want to see him as first choice left back - no. And I haven't for a long time.
But if a guy who isn't good enough is costing us games the fault lies with the people who put him there.
