Re: Champions Place stones at London Stadium.
It took us ages, years even to find our stone. When we did it was a bit of a anti climax - looking back on it now feels like we were mugs really for buying it in the first place.

I did a fair bit of work on this when they originally started flogging them. It all started off on a bad footing when the company they were originally going to use (who I think did Arsenal's stones which are far, far better) went bust. As usual it was an ill thought out idea with pound signs the overriding factor. These stones should go in an area where there is no footfall but of course we don't have that facility at the rented bowl. Leaving aside the crap quality of the stones we had programme sellers and rubbish bins placed over them at one stage which I think was sorted out. Quite disrespectful considering so many are in remembrance of loved ones no longer with us.

I never bought a stone, but two of my friends did. The other week we went to look for them after the game, eventually finding them and they seemed in good order, as did the others around them. Are some sections affected in particular. I can understand someone being upset if it's faded away after only five years

We had a brick at the BG and that was transfered to the OS, took ages to get the info where it was and managed to find it.
Now I think it looks just like a grey block paving block, while the old brick is doing great at home thanks to Jonjo, BMF and the WHUSC. The club latched onto what they were doing to claim some credit !

Yes, it is dependant where the stone is. Many of the sections are placed close to the entry points so get a really heavy footfall. When they originally had the tables by the turnstiles to search bags my stone was directly where someone would stand in front of the table.goa127 wrote: ↑Tue May 17, 2022 1:41 pmI never bought a stone, but two of my friends did. The point is where ever they are, they are nothing like what was advertised originally but that ship has long sailed.

I have one with mine and my Dad’s name on. I give it a little foot tap before any game he can’t make. I’m sure I’ll do it long after he definitely can’t make them…

Re: Champions Place stones at London Stadium.
certainly the Arsenal stones are far superier.Upset me when I went over there.-The stadium on a main road not a remote island and the stones all shiny and very impressive.Lets see where this letter leads us.My opinion is that if there is not a positive response followed by positive action then we should lobby the club hard.

Mugs are available in the club shop too.Georgee Paris wrote: ↑Tue May 17, 2022 9:09 amIt took us ages, years even to find our stone. When we did it was a bit of a anti climax - looking back on it now feels like we were mugs really for buying it in the first place.
