Jesse Lingard missing for Man Utd too.

Broja missing for Southampton.

Christ, a high majority of players that have been linked with us the last couple of weeks are not even in the match day squads today! :D

Expect Gerrard to be sacked in the last 3 months of next season and an old experienced hand brought in to keep them up. Could be one for Dyche if he doesn't jump straight back into management this summer.

Watkins will be playing Champions League football by then after winning the world cup for England.

I’m guessing a lot of these players have not been risked due to transfers etc…

The Broja one is interesting guessing that means he is t going back to the saints

They are rich and somehow Gerrard is able to attract higher calibre players. They'll be fighting top 7 soon. As will Newcastle.

We need to make sure we stay ahead of them this season.
It's a fair point about Gerard. We're hampered by vile barrow boy Sully and I'm convinced he screwed some of Moyes transfer targets. Gerard v. Sully, what chance?!?

The Broja one makes a bit more sense to be fair.

He’s not their player so they may as well play players who are likely to be there next season.

Could be that, could be that he hasn't scored or assisted anything for over two months.

Sign him up!

Also looking at his stats, I see he's averaging 0.3 key passes per game which indicates he doesn't do a lot creating chances for others. The only first team members for us that he beats with that stat are Zouma and Dawson. He also averages 12 passes per game. That's worse than everyone in our first team. He looks like a player that doesn't get overly involved in the game. He's certainly not going to come in and offer what Antonio offers.

Watkins hasn’t impressed me in that first half.
I think that £50 million could be better invested elsewhere

Correction you have zero idea about how transfers have been handled and your only conviction is you hate Sullivan.

Do you have a shred of evidence to back up your claims except for personal sentiment.

If not, unless it comes out from the horse's mouth all you're basing your opinion on is your dislike for Sullivan.

I don't know the answer to this but has Allardyce, Bilic, Grant etc ever come out and said. Sullivan ruined deals?

fat sam said something along the lines of sully doing his own deals and trying to bully him into playing them, which suggested interference at the least . plus they probably signed pay off deals about not saying anything

Got a link? I find it hard to believe Sam Allardyce has been bullied by anyone on anything

I wonder how today's result and Conference League confirmed for next season will impact transfers. Will players now be looking to go to Champions League/Europa League and see us as a 'step down' or will we still be viewed as a decent move?

Well I think I'm warming to the idea of Kalvin Phillips now. I hope we go for Eriksen too - we really do need to upgrade the quality

Right, if it hasn't the planning starts now.

With Noble retiring, Yarmolenko leaving, Fredricks expected to return to Fulham, and Kral unlikely to stay, that four players that will need replacing in some shape or form, and that doesnt mention the upgrades that could be had in areas to the first team.

I'm expecting all players from the championship. Who's going to come here because of the great conference league. I'm not expecting anybody great.

Phillips and Raphinha are probably unlikely now Leeds are staying up. Especially as their prices will be higher now.

But there’s certainly 1-2 from Burnley I’d take. Collins and Cornet spring to mind.

Oh, and the greatest midfielder to ever have graced the game should also be available!
