Exactly the same as me, mate. Completely ****ed me out.DaveWHU1964 wrote: ↑Fri May 20, 2022 11:36 pm Still remember watching it the first time on video. Hadn’t heard of it. Started off, as you know, as a terrific abs tense heist movie and then ……. Wtf! Where did that come from? Never been so wrong-footed by a film before or since. Deliciously mental.
What did you watch last night?

Morbius - I didn’t think it was any way near as bad as made out. Yes it’s generic and rather paint by numbers but it past two hours and was moderately enjoyable. Saying that I quite liked Venom as well.

Commando
About the Royal Marines. Its been great.
Last night a bit of it was about Danny. A mixed race young lad who struggled at school and didn't learn to read until 11 years old. His family who are Rasta didn't want him to join as didn't think any good would come of it.
Well Danny, or his proper name Captain Kidane Cousland has done pretty well. Was spotted for his talent and sent to Sandhurst where he was the top Cadet and now commands 400 Marines.
He also has an MBE for setting up Defence Rastafari Network to help support other Rastafari in the military.
What an absolute shining beacon to what can be achieved.

Still peerless after 20 years.
finally finished last night.

Grace - John Simm - Richie Campbell

Yes , it's another Detective Series this time set in Brighton and yes the lead character has his quirks [ his wife has been missing for 10 years ] but it is not without its charm - I've really enjoyed it [ though S2E4 was rather far fetched ] .

We've been watching these too TOMoS and have also enjoyed them, There's something about the 2 hour format that ITV use that seems to suit these shows. The Old Man of Storr wrote: ↑Wed May 25, 2022 1:01 pm Grace - John Simm - Richie Campbell

BBC1
Silent Witness
returns for the umpteenth series and yet again found myself watching and enjoying even though the plots continue to seem more than a little 'far fetched'

Re: What did you watch last night?
I've followed Silent Witness from the very start but have to agree that the last couple series just want to tick all the boxes.
especially the last one.
now I honestly loved the role that Clarissa ran with because I didn't feel she was the above.
but then with the political stuff and then the characters and how it went... well I'm hoping that this one is better but I'm not holding my breath
I'll watch because in general it's been decent but if the first 2 episodes follow on from the last series, then I'm done sad to say... because going back to the origins and how the series evolved it was a bloody good watch. then it all became political and too pc for my liking..

Cypress Hill: Insane In The Brain. There’s a reason everyone likes Cypress Hill, it’s because they’re awesome.

Agree with poster about Operation mincemeat. Pretty true to real life apart from some emotional added extras to give a better story.

Bit late to the party but one of my boys recommended Barry.
Very good. Henry Winkler is brilliant (still the Fonz - heyyyyyyy!) and the camp and dopey Chechnyan gangsters

Re: What did you watch last night?
Finally finished up Good Omens, and it was alright, I suppose. It's not a patch on the book, particularly the first episode (which was incredibly dull and lifeless and after which I gave up in disgust for several months before eventually coming back to it) and the last (where the massive battle between good and evil was a dozen people staring at each other on a deserted airfield).
Some good performances from the Tennant and Sheen, but the kids, particularly the one playing Adam, were dreadful, and a lot of the supporting cast weren't great either.
Made me want to read the book again, but I wouldn't ever bother to re-watch the series
