We’re being linked with lots of options in centre midfield which, for various reasons, have a high chance of not happening……and we’re going to end up with Harry Winks aren’t we? Been put up for sale, wants to stay in London, sure we’ve heard that Moyes is a fan previously, home grown…

Finally feels like I can relax about our chances of signing Sam Johnstone and then this pops in my head…
I'd take him on a similar deal Everton got Ali for as 4th choice

Het-Field wrote: Fri May 27, 2022 5:24 pm Fredricks is an interesting one, as I sort of expected him to stay around. Injury didnt help, but he did have some good moments in a WHU shirt. Equally, Yarmolenko. Injury hurt him, and sadly his form dipped

But as mentioned, with Kral likely to leave, it leaves the squad at a particularly threadbare level. Any sort of injury crisis that we suffered in the past would make fielding an effective team nearly impossible, and even included in there are a number of players in their advancing 30s.

I agree but Kral was practically never used so we did not have him really as a squad member only in name.

I don't see any clear strategy emerging. Loads of names put forward as usual, but what is concerning, is some of these players play in the same position, Aguerd and Hickey being the prime examples. I know it is very early in the window, but so far, it seems to me, we are not doing anything any differently to all the other windows and that does concern mec

Being linked with a decent left sided centre back and a decent left back when we need a left sided centre back and a left back shows a lack of a clear strategy :chin:

Alright, fair enough. In the video clips I saw two players bombing down the left flank, so though they must be left backs

Looks like a Moroccan sports journalist by the name of Ousamma has had a shouting match with quite a few West Ham fans on twitter this morning declaring that he has spoken directly with Nayef Aguerd and the rumour of him joining us is "fake".

Bizarre to say the least

Bit late to the debate but I’d rather spend 50 million on Watkins than Ward-Prowse. We should’ve bought him before Villa.

Panic, they need panic.

The C&H effect.

P.S. on David Raum. He won't join a club outside of the Bundesliga this summer.

If the Moroccan journalist is Oussama Benabdellah, I wouldn't pay much attention. That guy is mostly seeking for controversy, that's how he makes a living (plus dentistry, plus player agent, plus...).
