Pope out flashing at a wide one. Rain looks like it might finish off what's been an awful day for England.

That Broad over was truly pitiful. Bowling short at tailenders has gone wrong so many times for us you have to wonder what went through his and Stokes minds to send down a constant stream of 80mph bouncers and a rank full toss especially after the first few went so wrong. Bowl at top of off like you would for the openers with a new ball, that's why they are coming in at 9 plus ffs.
It happened last summer against Bumrah...I think he gets under their skin and they want to rough him up.
Crawley just won't learn his lesson. Never a test opener in million years driving at everything so early on.
Alex Lees needs to do better as well, another low score and from memory only made one 50 so far?

Woeful today all round.

And I was right.....Bend it like Repka wrote: ↑Fri Jul 01, 2022 8:49 pm Yup, they will have 380 to defend. Let's see how our gung ho approach goes against Bumrah and co.
I'm fearing the worst....

Re: England cricket 2022
I've watched the highlights this morning. I actually have serious doubts as to whether Mcullum and Stokes are the right people to lead this test side forward.
How many times have England tried to bounce out the tail and shipped a stack of runs? It's a joke, once is a mistake...
We have a new leadership group, yet they seem to want to continue with this approach. That is a worry to me.
Does Stokes have the toughness to be captain? Backing a player is one thing, but promising Crawley he has as long as it takes?
I've made my feelings about Broad clear in the past, does Stokes have the ability to control him? That over was a disgrace.
Let's see how Stokes bats this morning, I'd like to see some responsibilty rather than aiming to blast 100 runs by lunch.

So we are swinging like the last 5 of a T20. It will be either glorious or miserable.

I see Kohli is still a gobby twat despite not being captain anymore.
A few runs this morning but have definitely rode our luck a bit.

Re: England cricket 2022
Bairstow again showing how to be dominating and aggressive whilst not being brain dead (never thought I’d write that regarding Tests.) Stokes needs to stop reading his own press, he’s good but not good enough to take high end, fresh bowlers without playing himself in.

From a walking wicket to this. To say he’s in the zone doesn’t even come close.
