Even if we bought all the ones we haven't..... that's one of the least creative teams in the PL. We were already one of the worst, and you have us taking out the 2 best we had last season and replacing them with significant downgrades in that area.

Why would we want to? That generally means your selling your best players.

We could make a profit on Bowen tomorrow. Would you want to?

It was Bowen that I was actually thinking about when I asked the question.Must be the only one at the club that I genuinely think is worth more than what we paid.I think I also got my answer in Payet.

Still on a transfer topic..when was the last few transfers that we bought and made a big profit on when we sold them.

For a mid table club, we're rarely going to make a profit on anyone we actually want to sell. The difference is that we got in situations where a 34M player in Anderson couldnt even fetch 4M

I think the best season we had for outgoings actually was about five years ago.
We got 12 mil for Ashley Fletcher (0 goals) and Darren Randolph from Boro
We flogged Nordveit for 7 mil
Sold Diafra Sakho for 9mil
Somehow got 20M back for Andrew Ayew
Plus got a few mil for Feghouli who we got on a free

I'd say that this year, getting rid of Diop for 15M is incredible value.

Pretty concerning that we're looking at another season with pretty much zero depth.

So its 5 players in (not counting Areola as he was here last year): Aguerd, Downes, Cornet, Scamaccia, Coventry

And 7 players out (all who were first team squad members and made 10+ appearances):
Yarmo, Fredericks, Masuaku, Noble, Kral, Diop, Vlasic.

Regardless of the fact Aguerd/Scamaccia/Cornet provide immediate upgrades over Diop/Yarmo/Vlasic, it still leaves us desperately susceptible to injuries in a team with its share of injury-prone players.

As it stands, this is a squad built to fight on one front, not two.

Which position are you worried about ito depth out of interest?

General rule of thumb is 2 per position...

We now have (without doubling counting for players who play multiple positions)
4 x GK
5 x CB... 4 when Diop leaves but its widely acknowledged that he's being replaced
2 x RB... 3 if you include Ashy
1 x LB...the concern
5 x CM (for 3 roles)... could do with 1 more
4 x R or L AMs
2 x ST...we've only had 1 for 18 months

I'm seeing 2 gaps when Diops replaced. This assumes only Trott, Coventry and Ashby from the youth team.

After a few days of lockout due to Russian cyber interference on my kumb id, I have been browsing posts without the chance to contribute since Thursday. However, over the last forty pages I deduce the following:

Moyes has lost control; or he’s playing a blinder by not gambling the club.
Some international kumb posters are rubbish; although some international content is applauded.
We need to sign anywhere between three and six more players; but only those that want to come, and only players under 35.
We need defenders, midfield and attackers; other than that we are good.
Any potential signing who can spell left back is automatically a must have, must not loose, and must not tell Everton, or Newcastle, or Forest, but okay to share with Palace.
All links to players coming from Twitter are wrong; all links coming from player family members are exaggerated; links coming from kumb members are well considered, but need to be presented as a list.
Traore remains a NO.
After one game against the champions we are doomed; after one game we need to throw away our plan; after one game we mustn’t panic.
Finally, don’t piss about with your kumb settings otherwise you have to spend time with your wife looking at clothes online.
