He played for Forest for a year. He played well for us, he brought us a handsome profit, he seems like a really good bloke and he's perfectly well liked at the City Ground. Not sure there's a particularly strength of feeling from either party though.

It's no particular connection, other than it was a hugely popular song that we changed the lyrics to many years ago, is incredibly easy to sing, and sounds ace when 27,000 people are belting it out.

Far have I travelled, much have I seen
Maine Road, Old Trafford are places I've been
Goodison and Anfield, have all heard the sound
Of the boys in red from the City Ground

City Ground
Oh mist rolling in from the Trent
My desire, is always to be here
Oh City Ground

Your buddies at Charlton have tried to nick it in the past ("mist rolling in from the Thames" obviously), but it's very much ours.

The more inexplicable one is us singing "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling" when we take the lead. No idea why.

Yeh I think we can beat forest with a full fit 11 . But watching the city game I don't think we are at that level yet and what makes you think moyes will play cornet or scamacca from the start. Moyes wants new players to get upto the level to play.

Chris Sutton reckons we'll win 2-1 and a bloke from the pop group Kasabian, reckons we'll win 4-0. I make the bloke from the pop group, Kasbian knows a thing or two, so I'm going with him

Talking to a Forest season ticket holder yesterday and he was saying how much he was looking forward to seeing Antonio return , still held in very high regard by Forest fans, they loved him as a player and a person,

I believe the first few matches of the La Liga season, the first few matches of the season, are moved to evening kick off's to avoid the excessive heat of the middle of the day. Might this be sensible for here too?

half each fro sca man and beasty boy !

shame no extra defenders so ben johnson starts as a CB this game. has he signed a new deal yet ? we need him to.

areola in goal for this as fab at 90%. why risk him, give him longer to properly recover. doesnt send much of a message to areola if he gets dropped for a not fully fit fab.

so I am going with this team

areola
coufal johnson zouma cresswell
rice soucek fornals
bowen scamacca cornet

subs randolph ashby baptiste longello downes lanzini benrahma antonio okoflex
bench highlighting where we need players !

2-0 hammers scamacca and bowen banishing the doom clouds

One would certainly hope so but this will be a tough gig. Their first home game back in Premier League and their fans will be bang up for it.
I really have no idea how this’ll turn out but my ideal scenario would be Lingard scores early to put them 1 up, kisses the badge in front of the West Ham fans, gets dogs abuse for the rest of the match as we stroll to a handsome 4-1 away day win.
Cue a turgid 0-0 😁

They move the kick offs so they are not concurrent. Nothing to do with heat. They have still have 3pm and 3.30pm kick offs this weekend.

Unlike recent years, I think we’ll start badly and get going later and finish the season strongly. A point at Forest will do to get us off the mark.

Best time to be playing Forest IMO

An obscene amount of signings that are going to take months to gel.

See QPR 13/14 and Fulham 18/19

It's not vindictive, as you say he's a good egg. Players like to score against previous clubs, t'was ever thus.

He'll want to show the full tilt PL Antonio he's become. (He is a much better player now than he was even after two seasons with us, something clicked in him in 2020 and he went up gears)

Its a better version than Macca's original, but that ain't saying much.
