Easy to say but clearly the market says otherwise. If anyone says well lower ranked teams are signing Left Backs. Which of those would you have? Then ask yourself why didn't Moyes look at them? The answer is probably Moyes doesn't think they're better than what we have.

The ones he does think are better and tried to get have gone to bigger teams than us who can offer EL or CL etc.

Reguillon is better than what we have. And that’s a lazy suggestion in that he just happens to be available and proven in our league. Saying there aren’t any left backs is like saying there aren’t any strikers.

I agree that all signs point to a change of system but we’re very short on the required players for that in my opinion.

If as has been suggested Moyes is still after a center mid maybe we should have gone for Kouyate whose just signed for Forest on a free ?, very solid when he was with us before so minimal risk should he need to step in for Rice or Soucek , probably not on massive wages either.

We've spent £170m across the last two summers. When every is fully fit Zouma, Aguerd, Scamacca, Cornet will all be first choice. That's about £120m.

You've basically got one bad signing in there (Vlasic) and one, in my opinion, increasingly odd decision for Areola not to be number one.

Not getting a centre back and a left back in yet is criminal. We Ogbonna and Dawson are 34, and 32 and out of contract at the end of the season, We need 5 centre backs on the squad, 6 if we are to play 3 at the back. Losing Aguerd was unfortunate, but as soon as it was clear Diop was not going to stay we needed to bring one in. As for left back we are 3 years late in bringing one in. Our results over the past two seasons have papered over a lot of cracks.

We have far too little quality to sell Benrahma. We need a better Payet type player, and almost an entirely new defence. Losing Aguerd has really screwed us. But part of it is our own fault we have needed a proper left back for at least 3years and desperately since Christmas.

We need a lot of new talent. Some of these players are not good enough. Coufal and Cresswell can be replaced by any half decent full back.

Hopefully we get PSG CB in pronto, then a LB. People who can pass the ball through gaps please, not these hoof it merchants we have currently.

Problem is, where we're having to skim read and keep on top of it before it gets out of control, no doubt some legitimate posts have slipped through the net and also gone - so apologies if that has happened, but this is ****ing hard work this afternoon.
