Re: The Mental Health Thread - (Help Contacts in First Post).
It's the humidity today. I'm drenched after going to the garden and putting some washing out. 29c and muggy is dreadful. I'm even more grumpy than usual because of it - not helped by a difficult night due to said heat, then dozing off earlier only to be woken up by Adrian Flux insurance because my renewal is due.
Cue them giving me a price higher than the company I went with, followed by a call later to say they can beat it. f*** off, if you could beat it now, you could have beaten it with the first call, so what with the six calls, throwing your credibility out the window with a lower price after you tried to get me to sign with a higher price, they can shove it up their arse.
Just give me the lowest price, and don't go through this charade - it ****'s me off!

If only there was a way of everyone being able to store this useless heat now & then using it in the winter when we need it.Cockneyboy311 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 15, 2022 12:31 pm Anyone else relieved that its going to start to cool down a bit now? (according to my weather app anyway)
Being constantly hot with little relief has made me quite irritable. Throw in less than usual sleep and it's a recipe for me to lose my **** quicker than I normally would.
I wont say roll on the winter, but early 20's is just right for me. This 30 degree stuff is just too much.

Someone like NTL had a big call centre in Manchester and a mate got a job there. They dedicated huge swathes of staff to new business only and did little to try and retain customers or serve them.
Who really wants the stress of getting a new bank, insurer etc? You just want a good deal.

Mum's funeral tomorrow. Still trying to sort out last minute bits & pieces.
Best getting very upset lately & just hoping that I can get through it tomorrow, without too much blubbing.
Also another unique opportunity for me to look down the hole in the ground where I'll almost certainly end up, one day... I just hope I'm dead first...
Just feel so mentally exhausted right now.
Having two white (ok, grey) horses pulling a white hearse.
The horses will have claret & blue plumes.

Nothing wrong with blubbing mate. Shows you're human. We all need to do that.Samba wrote: ↑Tue Aug 16, 2022 5:22 pm Mum's funeral tomorrow. Still trying to sort out last minute bits & pieces.

You've been incredibly stoic throughout mate. Hope you get some proper R and R before the summer is out.
Take care.

Been locked out for 3 weeks so just wanted to express my deepest sympathy to you, Samba.
You'll do her proud in death as you did her proud in life.
She was YOUR mum....and you loved her.....nothing else other than that matters tomorrow......
Thinking of you...Love Steve

Thinking of you for tomorrow Samba,
if you wouldn't cry at your mother's funeral you would never cry, nothing wrong with that at all,
it shows how much you loved her and she loved you the same.
