There is still time to go in this window but Forest paying that sum of money after all the other cash they have already spent has shocked me the most.
I think Gibbs-White is decent but no more than that. Makes Ward-Prowse look a bargain at £65m.
Always had a soft spot for Forest but almost hoping they go down now just to see the chaos and fire sale that would ensue.

There's a lot of player's going for really big money, based on very little...

If Gibbs White and Anthony Gordon are valued around £50m, then you can see why I value Soucek (still only 27) and Rice much higher than that for their fantastic output already proved and at decent ages.

Do you think the other promoted clubs are looking upon Forest with envy?

I know it's fun for the fans seeing your club so active in the transfer window, but this is madness isn't it?

Doesn't sound like the spending is over, either.

Fair play to 'em I suppose, at least they are having a go.

They are doing the complete opposite of what Norwich usually do, so maybe they have a chance?

Forest should be aiming for mid-table not surviving relegation with the amount they have spent

They're rolling the dice in a different way, with high stakes/rewards for doing so and as long as they can afford to do so should they go down anyway, then fair play for having a good go. It's when it's done recklessly is when they ask for trouble. And from what I gather, I don't think they are, unless I've missed something with regards to Forest?

Privately, they probably are. And would be wise too. Aim for the stars and see where you land, rather than set your limits already at the bottom..

They remind me of when Fulham got promoted years ago. They bought loads of players, capped off by spending a club record £11.5m for Steve Marlet. That was a lot of dosh in 2001.

What's that, 19 new players now since the window opened, and most of them not very good at that.
Time will tell. Some fees seem to be way over the top, but I don't think they've recruited poorly. Toffolo and Neco Williams are more than decent fullbacks, Moussa Niakhaté a very decent central defender, who's able to pick a pass, with O'Brien, Mangala and Freuler their midfield looks solid and Taiwo Awoniyi is a real handful up front.

Forest feels like Watford on steroids to me.
Having watched their owner cross himself for 90 mins during our game, he will be sweating like Josef Fritzl on MTV Cribs come the end of the season.

Keylor Navas

I assume that this is nonsense or an agent drumming up interest, but this would seem absolutely mad.

Steve Cooper is a good manager. Forest wont be relegated. Young Manager, Young Squad, and financial backing. They will be challenging for Europe in a few years.

Cannot wait to watch cutaways of Evangelos Marinakis furiously crossing himself into oblivion whilst Ned Schneebly stands gawking on MOTD every week.

Forest need to crumble. The Sky coverage of our game last weekend was like a homecoming. Any wonder the VAR decisions were so bad... :eyes:

I agree, I can’t see Forest going down at all. They’ve signed some good players. Expect maybe a season like Brentford had.

Forest will stay up this season. They already have 3 points on us :crylol: .

I can see them becoming a decent outfit with the players they've signed.

I'd love to see us snatch Aouar before they get him.

All is not well at our club - spoke to someone today with close ties to the club who reckons Moyes will be gone by xmas. Hes not happy with how things are being run (surprise surprise).

He will not be playing any player that he has had forced upon him and is frustrated that we havent got the ones he wanted.

Seems to be at odds with moyes recent interview about how much effort the board have put in despite not picking up some No1 targets.
Who knows.
