I bought a second hand bass guitar and then quickly discovered that I had no musical talent whatsoever. I got rid of it.
And that was the end of my musical journey.
As a sidenote, one of the lads who I hung around with at school is now the guitarist for the Godfathers.

Yes! My fave was Mistreated though. He was mostly doing Blues but we chatted him up into doing some 'Hogs.
