The price of achievement I guess. That's quite a bottleneck and luckily the squad's bigger now.

I know its only Alan Brazil but he was saying on the radio a while back about when Ipswich were playing in Europe, two games a week, he said that the players preferred that to one game and then lots of training, the would rather play a game then have a couple of days cool down and get ready for the next game, better to be playing important games than running around cones on the training ground

I can see that.

And unlike last season they will have a break for the world cup so a sprint to the (halfway) finish is more doable than seeing another six months ahead of you.

One of the best things about Europe last season was watching fringe players and kids playing so well in the group matches. I'm looking forward to it again.

How many, if any, of our SIX league games in October do you see us winning?

Wolves - 2-1 win
Fulham - 2-0 win
Soton - 1-1 draw
Liverpool - 1-1 draw
Bournemouth - 4-3 win
Man Utd - 1-2 win

Four wins & two draws for the Mighty Hammers next month :coolas:

Would love to know if anyone is going to all of them! Romania and Belgium away, ironically probably easier than Liverpool midweek and Old Trafford on a Sunday evening.

Two at most. Fulham and Bournemouth most likely. I’ve said it since June was are in for a hard, long season and 17th will be a success by the end.

Given his weight I can see why he would have preferred it.

2 wins, maybe 3. We'll beat Wolves at home and Southampton away (both look crap and we have a good record against both), lose to Liverpool and United and then not sure on Fulham and Bournemouth at home, we should be beating both but I expect us to get 2/3 points from the 2 games, we'll slip against one of them, probably Fulham.

Gotta be honest, nothing annoys and P***es me off more, when managers like Red scouse's Klipperty, moaning and whinging about having
to play 2 Games a week...F.in ridiculous.
PL sides now have 25 Fit Young guys,Plus as many under 21s as they want, to play these games, they are not unfit s**t players.they are
full on professionals, there's not an excuse in the world why a Professional Football Club can't play 2 Games a week.
These guys are spoilt rotten and are surrounded by team of dieticians and fitness experts, most people can only dream of.

If a Team can't play 2 Games a week with light training in between,I suggest they all go and find other bloody jobs.....

It's the lack of Commitment,Motivation, not getting "up For Games" is the problem not fitness levels.

I seem to remember October being an issue for us last season too. Antonio even withdrew from the Jamaica squad over fitness fears last year.

Yeah, but back then players also preferred having a smoke in the changing room and a pint at the pub on the way home.

I can be optimistic, realistic or pessimistic.

As an optimist I have the better time. Things will always turn out great eventually
