Actually I have. Always happy to admit I was wrong, although whether people, including myself, watched it out of respect for the Queen, or more likely fascination and people watching is open to debate.....

If we're not very careful, one day Windsor Castle will be owned by Disney, Sandringham a centre parcs, Buckingham Palace an Arab owned hotel and we'll have some elected no mark as head of state and even a fraction of what we've witnessed today will not be seen again.

Re: The Monarchy
I thought it interesting to read today that apparently Windsor castle wasn’t bombed by the Germans as Hitler wanted to make it his home.

Didn't want to post this in 'The Queens' thread but From the service yesterday
The Archbishop Of Canterbury :-
“People of loving service are rare in any walk of life. Leaders of loving service are still rarer. But in all cases those who serve will be loved and remembered when those who cling to power and privileges are long forgotten.”

Re: The Monarchy
My day off today and I watched the start out of interest. F&&k me they wriggled out of that well! I reckon the PR people must’ve been working 24/7 to soften that. By all accounts it wasn’t originally to do a segment any tho g like they showed this morning.
There’s always been something about Schofield I didn’t like but never been able to put my finger on it.

You could argue watching the video that the two members of the public who pulled him to the ground could be assaulting him. If he'd hit his head what would the police have done then?

Re: The Monarchy
Do you reckon he answers the phone by saying "Hail to the King, baby!"? I would if I was King. I would order my subjects to call me up just so's I could say it and put the phone down. I would do it for hours at a time, every day. And it would never get old. And if anyone suggested it was getting old, I would have my Royal specialist ops goons round them up, arrest them and "disappear" them. Hail to the King, baby!

I was trying to find a meme I saw quoting some American woman moaning that Trans rights have gone too far as they've let a bloke be queen.
I couldn't find it so just typed it instead.......

Don't know if anyone has seen it - but this episode of The Repair Shop is most certainly worth watching.
