I do think Moyes is straddling that demarcation line between the minority of people who have turned against him and the people who are still behind him, and if he's not careful he might dive headlong over that line before a ball is kicked. He's had 2 weeks to study his new players, to look at different ways of playing and to make the necessary changes in training sessions. He's had more time to get the non internationals fitter. HE's had more time to spend strategizing with his staff. One hour before the match, if his team sheet looks as it has since the start of the season, the fans at the stadium will be on edge before kick off. And if the team then comes out and starts playing as they have this season, the shift from a minority of Moyes out to a majority of Moyes out might well be visible on screen. Even with all that, I only expect him to make one or possibly 2 changes. One needs to be Scamacca. But if he wants to make a change to keep people onside, he had better give Downes a chance over Soucek. If he screws that up, I fear for him.

What I think I'd like to see:
------------- Areola----------
Kehrer Dawson Zouma Emerson
--------------Downes---------
-----Paqueta (deeper) Rice(pushing)
--Cornet-----Scamacca------Benrahma

Is Rice a DM in that formation?

Would you not swap the roles of those two? Rice cannot shoot or pick a pass (relatively of the two) so not sure why you’d want him getting further forward.

Rice is actually well regarded as one of our best strikers of a ball from distance in training. He just very rarely chooses to do so during a game

And when he chooses to, it hits the stands.
He is one of the best deep laying midfields in the world. Let's just play him there.

I remember when tevez rocked up , same season as Carlton cole

A reported rocked up to training to see tevez and said that it wasn't the new superstar that was the best shot in training it was Carlton

So I'd take training with a massive pinch of salt

If he picks the same starting line up as Everton then you'd have to question if he's deliberately trying to get the sack. And if it is that line up then I won't even bother watching it because we all know the inevitable outcome.
Please prove us wrong Moyes, be brave and positive for once.

Surely Antonio can't start. He has probably only just got back with the squad today.

Seems ideal to me to play Scamacca, Cornet and Benrahma tomorrow.
Antonio, Bowen and Soucek vs Anderlecht.

Defence is tougher as I don't think we are sure on Dawson and Ogbonna yet.

Far too attacking for Moyes. We'd still concede too.

What does Cornet have to do to get a start? The few minutes we have seen of him he looks the likeliest to score ...
