I’ve verballed you a few times already and if I’m the one who’s wrong I’ll borrow that gun.Korea Hammer wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 10:45 am I'm at work so can't check right now, but if that's true, I may have to take a short walk outside with my revolver

I wouldn't do it for the likes of a Stewart Robson, but if I have forgotten Potts, he'll have to get a bye to the next round and go in a group of 5, I think.

I'm sure I've seen Steve Pott's.
I voted Boa Morte over him..
Or was it Upson?

Potts was in group 2 with TC and Dev (who won).
A travesty we lost both of them so early.

Re: WC of WH Players: Group 32
I thought you guys were taking the pee about Potts being left out as wasn't it a bit of a running joke that he got robbed by being in such a tough group? I recall someone being upset about it
Given it's a popularity vote, the only other possible omission I can think of is Faubert. Became a bit of a cult figure. Unsworth was likeable too but only stayed a season. Danny Williamson maybe?
Really, the only player I can think was harshly omitted is probably Mullins. Made over 200 apps for us and a very reliable performer. I'm sure he'd win a popularity contest against Ince.

Yes, fair enough. Mullins should have been in. I don't think he would have won his group though, so I can live with it.steveyrockstar wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 1:41 pm Given it's a popularity vote, the only other possible omission I can think of is Faubert. Faubert is a painful one. I had such high hopes for him and seeing his name on the shirt was quite a kick as it's almost identical to my own. But in the end, it was generally a bit disappointing.

You can be the second best, but if you meet the best in an early round you are going out.

Yep. Next round is groups of 4 again, so he could be in with Bonds, Brooking and Moore.El brooko79 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 6:01 pm Just depends on the draw.
