Stop the cross and you stop the danger from Morata’s run ….Kehrer all season hasn’t got near his winger to stop the crosses coming in or to intercept the ball out to the winger.

As opposed to our other full-backs that successfully stop all crosses?

This was a dour affair, full of professional fouls (mostly by the Germans). Co-commentator Alan Shearer was particularly annoying saying "He had no choice" every time a German player took out his opponent. Of course he/they had an effing choice!

Was just thinking the same thing. And if he gets too close to Alba who’s still rapid and he just knocks it past him and crosses from the byline he’ll look bad anywayBurnley Hammer wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 10:55 am As opposed to our other full-backs that successfully stop all crosses?

Even Mrs Sendo observed Alan Shearer exclaiming twice once Germany scored "now we've got a game on our hands" and then bemoaned how boring the game was at the end.
I don't really see what Shearer adds any more. He just seems to moan all the time without adding a great deal of proper analysis or insight.

Shearer is just a giant cliché, he adds nothing.

Shearer always starts with a stat he's just been fed by a researcher. Then he'll say something was either 'sensational' or 'criminal'. Absolutely stealing a living.

Track the run and the goal doesn't happen.

I thought it was a well contested game.As in the Euros Germany lack a really top forward nowadays.
Had an argument then with a mate who pointed out they had Werner and Havertz who played for Europeans Chelsea. Then I pointed out their combined PL haul that season was about the same as Soucek's ...
