Presume that’s a zoom in of the picture above WCPete? If so, then presume moving the camera more to the right and being directly over the ball would move the ball more over the line? Closer than I thought - but still make that in.

No idea why that photo above has gained more social media traction. It's still not properly in line as you can see by the bar not being lined up with the byline.

I don't think they knew it but surely the Spanish were better off not equalising at the end - eliminate Germany rather than Japan and play Morocco rather than Croatia - there's a strong case that there was a double advantage from not scoring. Another bizarre aspect of last night's games.

Yeah it's clearly on (not when viewed in real time but on the stills posted on here it is).

If you see 2cm of grass between the bottom of the ball and the line, then it's on. Unless a football only has a diameter of about 5cm.
