Zero sympathy for the Germans.....for numerous reasons. But mainly because I just can't stand them.

I think it’s a tricky one because you can clearly see green between the lowest point on the ball and the line. However, I haven’t seen a single angle where I could clearly and obviously see green between the point of the ball that was closest to the field of play and the line.

The margins are so fine because it is literally a single point on a sphere that we are talking about in both instances.

I so wanted Costa Rica to hold on to their lead so to see the back of Spain also. Can't have it all, sadly. :cry:

Just had a thought about the ball crossing the line.

Well it wasn't as obvious as Lampard's goal, just saying. What goes round, comes around.

No connection between the two except poor officiating,England were hardly romping to victory in that game in a WC where Matthew Upson was England's joint top scorer on one goal :chin:

You're right and there was VAR this time round. My point is taking the rough with the smooth. How we were playing in that particular WC is a completely different debate.
