Mate of mine reckons Borthwick & x2 assistants lined up to come in; with EJ negotiating severance package. He has some kind of 'in' at RFU, and normally about right - but who knows!

2 years too late, but very welcome, if true.

Rejoice, it's happened finally.

Borthwick is fine by me, although I do like Scott Robertson as the wild card

Long overdue. He should have gone after the 6 nations earlier in the year. Now it's no time before the 6N and not a lot to the world cup.

Never understood why we ditched Sir Clive Woodward, a brilliant rugby coach, who won us the Rugby World Cup and replaced him with twice losing one

Had to deal with the squad rebuild after 03, which was always going to be a hard task, then went off to manage the Lions. Gavin Henson threw the mother of all tantrums, a bunch of other Welsh players whined to the press (fair enough, they'd just won a brilliant Slam) and SCW's reputation never fully recovered.

Didn't he (CW) want a big overhaul of English rugby...but was told to do one as he'd just won us the WC so no need? Something like that anway

Wouldn’t be a shock, would it. RFU not exactly renowned for making good decisions.

There wasn't really any choice but to show Jones the door.
Give someone a contract till after the World Cup and then see who's available.

Feel its the right call but can't say I'm massively inspired by his replacement. Should have been quick and got Gatland in.
