Loads of boxing this weekend.

Josh Warrington defends against a tough Mexican (we've been there before). Hot Aussie Ebonie Bridges will weigh in in lingerie again for her undercard fight.

Michael Conlan continues his comeback in Belfast.

P4P No. 1 (maybe) Terence Crawford defends his title at home in Nebraska against Notts based Russian David Avanesyan
.
Teo Lopez fights decent Spaniard Sandor Martin in NYC. My pick for future heavy champ Jared Anderson on the undercard.

Great fight for both fighters.

If Azeez wins I hope they can make him v Spider Richards in a battle of South East London

If Rocky wins he's still relevant for another big payday.

Should be a lively crowd with Billam Smith on the bill.

Didn't watch it as I've cancelled DAZN but followed online & it sounded like Lopez won most of the early rounds then Warrington clawed his way back with some strategically placed headbutts. Lopez barely held on to win.

Lopez could fight fellow top Mexican featherweights Rey Vargas or Mauricio Lara (who previously beat Warrington) but the big money would be a rematch with Josh or a fight with Leigh Wood in England.

Warringtons dream of a big fight in America now well & truly over.

Bridges fought really well. Non stop pressure and clearly has some power behind her shots. It was a battering.

Warrington can feel hard done by to be honest. Definitely won rounds 2 & 3 plus the last 4.

Saying that, Lopez looked very comfortable in there as well but did not do enough to beat the belt-holder imo.

I saw views from Lopez winning the first 8 to Warrington winning by 4 rounds.

Crawford wins by BIG KO in the 6th.

Lopez escapes with a win in a close fight that could have gone either way but one judge had it 97-92 even though Martin scored a knockdown in round 2 meaning the judge thought he didn't win any other round which just isn't true. I felt Martin won but I didn't score it. Even Lopez's father said he had to win the last round & he didn't.

Not sure what happens next for Teo but would love to see him against Regis Prograis.

Sergio Martinez, one of the best fighters of the last 30 odd years & one of my personal all time favourites, is fighting in Orlando tonight, aged 47, against a bloke with a 6-6-2 record.

He retired in 2014 after a loss to Miguel Cotto, although he was shot before that and lucky to get the decision against Martin Murray. Then he returned in 2020 & has fought 4 decent opponents in Spain but not sure why he's fighting in the US tonight against such a journeyman. Maybe the promoters threw in some tickets for Disney.

Apparently Martinez only took up boxing to help improve his fitness for cycling competitions in his native Argentina. He didn't do too badly...

Warrington needs a new trainer. Does his best work behind the jab but constantly falls forward into clinches with his head down completely blind. No idea how to control the distance even though he has the tools. Deserved to lose.

Fingers crossed. Would be a belter. Teo hasn't impressed me since he beat an injured Loma. He's got time on his side though.

It seems obvious as well, we can see it, the commentators yesterday mentioned it a fair bit as well.

Britains Paul Butler fights for the undisputed Bantamweight title in Japan against the brilliant Naoya Inoue who is 23(20)-0 & a three weight champion.

Just lasting the distance would be a great achievement for Butler 34(15)-2(1) & most are expecting him to get blown away early doors. Inoue is that good.

Inoue is one of the best P4P boxers on the planet. Brilliant to watch as well. Good luck to Butler but this is one of those fights where I just can’t see an upset happening at all.

Inoue by kayo in the 11th to become undisputed at Bantamweight.

He now plans on moving up to Super Bantam where there are some very good fighters. Will be interesting to see if he can conquer a 4th division.

Truly a modern great. He's now 24(21)-0 overall & an incredible 19(17)-0 in title fights. And many of those fights have been against fighters who'd never been stopped before despitebeing involved in title fights. He went the distance with Donaire in their first bout then crushed him in 2 in the rematch.

Felix Cash, 16(10)-0, middleweight prospect and traveller from Chertsey/Wokingham/wherever he wants won at the weekend but didn't look good.

Hearn wants to match him with his American prospect Austin Ammo Williams, 13(9)-0.

It should be a cracking fight. The middleweight division needs a bit of excitement.

Fielding has missed the weight for his fight.
