Never thought they had a team blessed with pace. St Max and possibly the striker are the quickest two.

Their full backs are not quick and neither is the central midfield.

Agree but they move up the field faster instead of sideways, backwards and forwards when the other team have 11 behind the ball.

We’ve not been good this season, but which team has ‘torn us to pieces?’ None really.

Could we lose 2-0? Absolutely, but I don’t see it being any worse than that. Actually think it’ll be a very close game, maybe 1-1 or a goal either way, with them the more likely to win of course.

Of course it'll likely be a tight game, they generally are with the way we set up and play, regardless of opposition.

I don't know what to expect from this game. It's an opportunity to show that there is in fact a corner and that we're rounding it. The players seem to be more confident, which is promising. Some of the players that we needed to be in good form seem to be coming back to life. Results have better, but we haven't faced much of a challenge in '23 so far. We'll know a lot more about our team after this game.

Newcastle are absolutely flying and good luck to them.

But their squad isn’t much different to the one we took four points off last season. It’s eleven versus eleven at the end of the day, their players aren’t much more talented than our own.

We’ve seen Moyes vs Howe twice.

One was 1-1, the other was 4-0 West Ham.

They'll beat us 1-0 with a Wilson goal. Put a few quid on it.

Were more than capable of getting a result up there. Just have to hope Moyes is positive and sets us up with the intention of winning. As well as soucek played against derby this isn't the game for him we need to move the ball quicker I'd put either fornals or benrhama in the no 10 role .

Does Moyes see them as a big team now?

Respect the 1-0 defeat.

I really hope we go there and try and impose ourselves and not be passive, we shall see.

You’ve seen it when a team qualifies for a final, they get distracted. Hopefully used up a lot of emotional energy last night and they and the fans will see the game this weekend as a bit of a come down.

Us on the other hand, someone mentioned above that our form is slowly improving, and this is the next challenge we will be up for.

I think we’ll score first, they’ll equalise in the last few minutes and a draw will feel like a defeat to us, and a win for them…

Do I win the cliche bingo?

With Guimares out, I think we have a decent chance of nicking a point or three.

Moyes' dilemma is how to set up the midfield: Benrahma and Paqueta or Soucek and Fornals. I reckon he'll go for Soucek alongside Rice and Paqueta alongside Bowen, behind Antonio.
