Anything goes in The Snug, General Discussion's rebellious little brother. An off-topic den of iniquity where any subject not covered elsewhere may be discussed. Well, anything except golf, Star Wars and Arsenal.
Only thing stopping me is money, especially not long after Xmas. If I can find a way of getting down at a good price (and getting back again) then I'm in. Ideally I'd want to stay overnight but I'm not sure that's realistic. I'd have probably driven but I'd likely have an anxiety attack attempting to drive through London. Trains aren't cheap. I might see what coach fares are like - but then I'd have to navigate the underground and that'll probably give me an anxiety attack too.

Venky suggested Jacks.
I think.
I did! I am more a pub than bar person, but thought Jacks was decent because of it's bang central location, easy access from Waterloo and jubilee line for those coming in from East, and it's got a huge open layout where a big group of us can freely mingle. And the price of a pint is around the london average there (see above).
BUT - DL, maybe change the title to Lord Nelson Pub? I honestly don't care where, but Lord Nelson looks more like your typical boozer and is in the same central location.

Well if it's too soon after Christmas and Monkey Bubbles also wants to come but is playing a gig on the 4th Feb,
why not change the date a little further away from 4th February.

Glad I didn't book the flights, I would have looked a right mug
There is that AH, might have helped me out a bit though.
Luckily, I met Veronica.
She kept me company for a while.
And despite her 6'4" height, 16 stone of weight, hands like shovels and a full on beard she was a very gentle soul really.
Well, deep down I suspect she was.
W@nkers, the lot of ya!
A bloody shambles I tell ye.
