Hahaha I had the same thing with a slow cooker group. I pretty much said as good as a slow cooker is, some things are just better cooked the traditional way. Size 9 up the posterior out of the group I went

Ninja Air Fryer

Post by MaylandHammer »

Evening all

I seem to recall a thread that was extolling the virtues of air fryer's, but cant for the life of me find it !

Thinking of getting a Ninja & just wanted peoples opinions, IE best model, any better makes etc etc.

Cheers

We’ve got the larger dual basket one. Oven is largely redundant now - save for pizzas and roasting large joints.

Quicker, cheaper to run and healthier.

Go for it, highly doubt you’ll regret it.

Cheers mate. Sounds like the one I was looking at (AF400UK), but there was also one that looked like a mini bbq (woodfire) ?

The woodfire is outdoor only. The AF400UK is what we have, and since having it the oven has only been on a handful of times for large joints or large pies.

Rather than trawl through the thread, is there a recommended air fryer for under £100? It doesn’t need to be all singing all dancing. I cook for one!

We've taken the air fryer plunge. We've gone with the Ninja AF400UK 9.5L £200, reduced from £250. Arrives today.

As I'm the cook in the house, I've followed this thread with interest and also listened to my mum bang on about how great hers is for a while.

Finally got one over the weekend: Ninja Speedi 10-in-1 Rapid Cooker and Air Fryer ON400UK

I steam air fried new potatoes and salmon last night. My god.

Done the same. You lot convinced me.

Tried French fries that are awful oven baked, they came out lovely.

Tonight wife cooking a small chicken, air roasting new potatoes and having veg and gravy. Will let you know how quick it was and if nice.

Steam the spuds first, or at the very least, part cook them.
