There’s some beasts in that division. Yarde could end up one of our best fighters to never win a belt. Hope not. He’s a good lad and a good boxer.
I don't know about one of our best to not win a title.
He still hasn't beaten anyone that good yet.
Not a diss against him as a boxer or man.
But what's his best win? The rematch with a fighter he was expected to beat comfortably the first time.....

In Yarde’s case I think the manner of the defeats against Kovalev and Beterbiev say more about him than the wins.
It does in one regard but it's like scoring 50 goals a season in the 4th division then trying hard but not scoring in the top flight.
I'd love to see him v Buatsi, either Smith or even a rematch with Kovalev.
Valiant losing efforts against two very tough Russians is one thing but I don't think he can be called one of the best (not to win a title) unless he does something more with his career.
Shabu or any of the other boxing regulars, just been reading that AJ is set to announce his comeback fight but also another new trainer! Any idea who it will be? What’s the general feeling on AJ now, can he get back to the top?
AJ has been said to have moved to the States permanently to train with Derrick James. I think he’s got a long road ahead of him to get back to the top. He’s out of the title running and will have to force himself back into contention.
Watched Navarrete vs Wilson last night. Lightweight match.
What a fight! Lewis an unknown Ozzie Wilson puts Navarrete down in the 4th. Much machinations take place - fighter spits out gumshield deliberately and get vital extra seconds to get himself together, - then goes on the floor and TKO Wilson.
Wilson had it in his hands, should have boxed the head off Navarrete but got sucked into a streetfight. Wrong move.
Navarrete is now a 3 time difefrent weight world champion.
Keep an eye out for Wilson. He's young, got a decent chin and dynamite in each hand.

AJ needs to win by an impressive stoppage over Franklin, then take a riskier fight to elevate him to a world title challenge again. The winner of Wilder vs Ruiz, or Joe Joyce.
I don’t think he’s got it in him though, hasn’t been the same since the 1st Ruiz fight.

If he wins it's Dillian Whyte in the summer which will probably be an exciting fight but not one that I'd choose but Eddie knows how to milk the public

Listening to him he ain’t a bright boy….. got to wonder if he has the smarts to get him out of **** at the top level..
I’m not convinced
Style over substance
I'm never convinced until they're at the top level but that was a good performance against an undefeated opponent. He will have learnt a lot from that. Probably more than the other fights combined. He has a smart coach in McGuigan. Good learning bout.
