Has it been reported by anyone reputable, or someone with more than half a braincell?

But Moyes 100% of the time goes ultra defensive and we fail to win. If he reverts to type, expect to see Soucek. Then we get dominated by a average Chelsea team.

Or maybe for once he sticks with what works for us, rather than focusing on how the opponents play. Then we have a chance to beat them.
Bar the first 5 mins please.

Win this game & we could be 14th, 4 points above relegation & closing in on the top half plus we'd go into the Spurs game brimming with confidence.

It's a massive game.

As usual if they're not on strike, there are no trains between Shenfield and Liverpool St on Greater Anglia and the Elizabeth line this weekend for engineering works.
Same for the Forest game :swear:
You can't beat these world class transport links!!!
When's the best time for important upgrade work?

During the weekend when 60,000 fans and some shoppers might get delayed

Or when millions of people need to get to work in the week?

Have a day off

I can't wait until the east end District gets it upgrade weekends .. how would you have got to Upton park again? We been gone a long time now it's time to move on.

Kehrer still gives me the shakes, tbh; he's a unreliable as Aguerd is reliable.

I think it's been a while since we won two league games on the bounce(?).

So based on that, I'd take the draw on Saturday and win against Spurs.

This years PL seems more competitive than I can remember. Bottom teams can beat top teams, no one is cut adrift, no one is getting thrashed, virtually all games inc ours are being decided by v fine margins. Impossible to call this one, though I’d be a little surprised if we played badly.

Joao Felix is back for them. Will be interesting to see him play against us. If he lines up on their leftish side again, could make for an interesting afternoon for Vlad and Johnson/Kehrer.

Just browsing 11v11 for details of the game I saw, when first watching WHU host Chelsea in a league match.

Speedie and Cottee the scorers. 13.04.85 the date.

I was just a shade too young to have seen their previous match at UP, it having been in 1981.

Interesting to note that, in 1985, these two London clubs featured only British players.

5 Scotsmen across the two teams. Unheard of in the modern day.

One year later, my first visit to SB :coolas:

Even then, only British players

I just can’t be bothered when we play Chelsea anymore.

To me they don’t exist. Their transformation completely killed off the Chelsea I used to love to hate. They are now just the kid at school who had all the gear and no idea.

My paranoid head asks did we play the way we did cos we fell behind so early or was that always the plan ?

I hope it’s the latter, I really do cos another mad, messed up Saturday, celebrating another win against this lot is just what I need ! :newthumb:

Two requests:

[*]Let's see some variety in the kickoff routine. Going back to a defender who then punts it up to the right flank for either Antonio or Soucek to lose a header doesn't seem to be working. Maybe try something different.

[*]Be a little bit nasty...ok, aggressive. Far too often we don't press, sit back, and wait for 'better' teams to make a mistake. Force a mistake! Chelsea are not high on confidence and have so many new players. Don't let them gain any confidence by pinging the ball around to each other everywhere except the 18-yard box.

This is moyes against a sky 6 team who need the points. we will sit back no doubt and chelsea will find their form and score a couple of goals with the media proclaiming they are back and rice looks on enviously to next season .

OR

we are up for it and have a go. get the tackles in hard and fast. coufal set the satndard last week as he never let st maiximan settle.

I would play downes in midfield to try and get control of the srea. means we will have 5 in there and hopefully gain some possession. I am fed up with us having 35% of the ball and hanging on. lets get at them.

fabianski
johnson ogbonna augerd
coufal rice downes paqueta emerson
bowen antonio

subs getting a bit bare bones on the bench ! anang scarles laing cresswell lanzini soucek fornals benrahma mubama

2-0 bowen and paq

COYI

lets get at them. we need 3 points !

Stars have aligned for our mob, 10 of us meeting up before and then going out after the game, some faces not seen for a few years. Hopefully the mighty West Ham will give us something to cheer about after the match while we drink and eat copious amounts and it all gets very messy. Proper proper buzzing for it all now, CHARGE!!!!!
