He wasn't the only one

Far from it. But he's the one on the pitch that I most want to put a good performance in.

Yep, seems to take a touch too many.

Can see why Moyes hasn't been starting him in the league, still looks off the pace.

Putting it down to lack of confidence, hopefully that outing a goal will help that

Ridiculous to take him off.

Our most talented striker, who needs minutes.

Absolutely crazy.

Well it is.

He’s short of minutes and confidence, it’s a perfect opportunity for him to get both.

You have no idea what his fitness, mental state or anything else is like….to call the managers decision to take him off with the run in we have needing everybody we need, with a game that’s won..when he’s just come back from a serious injury and looks like he’s still struggling is…hardly ridiculous

Just because you don’t like it, doesn’t make it fact

As I said if it were me I’d have kept him on, but I’m an armchair manager

Saying all of that it’s wonderful to see the kid score

Good to see him get a goal and appear to be happy.

He does look quite ill though I thought, at the end there coming onto the pitch.

I think he's just a bit unfit.

Injuries on and off all season, had that bad virus too.

Hopefully the run out today, a few weeks to get up to speed now too.

Shocked coming on here reading these comments.

Tonight proved exactly why when needing a goal he should have come on at the weekend.

Some great link up and hold up play, a goal, an assist and one ruled out... Whilst having an issue with his physical date

Ings anonymous again and gave the ball away just as much but no outrage about effort... Weird

Scamacca is our best striker, fit or not

100%.

Also won a cracking couple of flick on headers.

Got a lot of strings to his bow this bloke. Can play on the floor and also mix it like an old fashioned centre forward.

Expected to come on and everyone agreeing how well he did and how much we missed him, how getting back in the team should be no.1 priority...

Considering how long he has been waiting for a start and that we didn't have many direct midfielders playing in the first half (i.e. 4 centre midfielder, no width on left) he did well and showed those signs of what we have been missing in a striker

He takes his shots early which is why he has success with them.

Cracking attempt in the first half, and forced a great save out of the keeper for Bowen’s goal in the second half.

He needs to start after the international break.
