New Amp Day!
Nothing very exotic, but bought (2nd hand for a reasonable price) the amp I probably should have bought when I first started learning a couple of years ago.

Re: Guitar Corner
I’ve got one of those - a decent practice amp and some good pedal effects that you can download from the app.

Re: Guitar Corner
The Spark amp was developed with an accompanying app that connect via Bluetooth. Simply select a pedal effect or setting and hey presto, you are Nile Rodgers/Dave Grohl/Johnny Marr, or whoever you want to be. The settings include a whole range of effects that sound like a whole host of bands and guitarists.

Re: Guitar Corner
The 450 is a Rickenbacker, made in 1961 but with some newer hardware. Sale is pending, so I'll park that for now.
The 360 is a '84 (I think) Greco RG850. All original, but has a small area on the back where the paint has f l a ked off. Weirdly, I've a couple of 'real' 360s that have similar paint issues. Those Japanese dudes really went for authenticity!
Plays really well, neck is slightly wider than a Ricky and the fingerboard is lacquered light rosewood rather than whatever weird wood it is that Rickenbacker use. Pickups are low output, about the same as toasters.
I'm probably looking for about a grand to 1200 at a real push. You can have it for like 800.

Re: Guitar Corner
Greco, Fernandes, Burny, early Ibanez and Orville were all top Japanese guitar brands who copied Fender and Gibson guitars to such a high quality that it embarrassed their American counterparts. Both Gibson and Fender used these factories to produce guitars for their far Eastern market the quality was that good. I own a Burny Les Paul copy and I've yet to play a Gibson LP that plays and sounds better.Monkeybubbles wrote: ↑Wed Mar 01, 2023 8:48 am The 450 is a Rickenbacker, made in 1961 but with some newer hardware. I have no doubt that the quality of that Greco/Rick copy is top drawer.

Re: Guitar Corner
Speaking of Rickenbackers, here's a great clip of Paul Gray from Eddie & The Hot Rods/The Damned (among others) fame. I love the sound of Rick basses just not the actual basses ...
