What's point of warning you over an imminent nuclear strike? What you going to do hide under the bed?

What covid proved is politicians and civil servants love power, crave power and are absolutely paralytic drunk on it.

Sadly the pandemic went away, so they are now dreaming up new ways to get their fix.

Then we have those that love being told what to do as it means they don't have to go to the trouble of thinking These dimlows have always been around buy there are more and more coming out the woodwork. "Its okay not to teach our kids about nutrition, the teacher can so that"

No better than a bunch of smackheads.

Parenting without the hassle of having to parent. Easier to let the iPad, tiktok, teachers and everybody else do it.

It's a very human disease to actively want to be governed/ruled/told what to do and when to do it.

More sheeple than people.

You wait until AI becomes universal so that a computer does all the thinking for you. The brain is gonna get flabby like the fat **** that acts as its container.

'Wall-E' is the most like scenario apparently, they will meet our every need thus turning us it to blobs of jelly who cannot think or act without them.. bloodless, efficient take over.. then one day the 'help' will cease.

It will never happen. Humans are simply too resilient to let that happen.

But I'm an idiot, so no point listening to anything I have to say.

As a side issue, I can't imagine James Cameron's script would have gone down so well to the film producers if rather than having metal skeletons crushing a sea of human skulls, there were a load of fat Americans sitting around drinking slushies and watching crap on floating TVs.

Based on this we're about 20% of the way down that path.

Though nobody who comes up with these ridiculous conspiracy theories ever explains who they are, usually blaming some amorphous body such as the illuminati, government, big pharma etc etc.

Three of the answers, amongst others, that my tin foil hat wearing mates offer up whenever I ask "who's they?" Others include the shadow government, the Royal Family, the Cabal, the Bilderberg group, the Bohemian grove attendees, the World Health Organisation, the WEF and any number of alien races who secretly control the world from secret underground bases and/or the hollow earth.

It's massively entertaining, and being a Freemason I have been accused of running the world which was hilarious given the fact I'm a sodding cleaner specialising in toilet blocks!!!

Did anyone on three get it?

My mother in law. Father in law plus my sister didn't get it .. all on either 3 or a network that uses 3

Wife (lebera , Vodafone) got it

All my work didn't get it but then we remembered you need 4g or 5g signal (we get 3g only on O2 at work or WiFi only) so went out door and got it (O2)

I did mine this morning.

What real natural disasters does the UK actually face? High winds and a lot of rain. I don't need an alert to tell me that, I just need to look at the weather forecast.

Terrorist attacks? These are usually accompanied by a big bang or people running for their lives. If you don't hear "boom" or see people running like f***, then you are pretty safe.
